Performs a variety of duties to maintain and control flow of materials and products in and out of the warehouse, and assists in the direction and supervision of warehouse personnel when necessary.
In coordination with the appropriate oversight (e.g. Plant Manager, Logistics and Planning Manager, HR) position is responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work; training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing issues; and resolving problems.
Applies engineering, Lean and 5S principles and experience to drive continuous improvement with regard to processing equipment, systems and the work environment. Applies these skills to coach others in the safe and effective operation of these systems through formal and informal training and troubleshoot shortcomings. This includes but is not limited to environmental health and safety concerns; how the equipment works; how the equipment is operated; the effect of the equipment on the product; quality check points; critical quality parameters; engineering out waste; etc.
Maximize individual employee skill flexibility by assessing the current skill base, identifying skill gaps, and enabling the employees to close skill gaps by providing necessary training.
Effectively communicates with on-coming and off-going shifts; among employees on their shift of immediate responsibility; with the production manager; technical support personnel; logistics and planning; etc. Ensures system performance reviews are done on each shift.
Ensuring Process Orders (POs) are maintained in an accurate manner including issues, receipts, scrap and rework generation, productivity, accounting for 100% of work force hours, and modification as needed. Provide explanation of any variance at conclusion of each shift.
Leads Champions and Supports continuous improvement initiatives and activities. Provides guidance, coaching and support to personnel to ensure KPI's are met – including (but not limited to) ESHA, Quality, Productivity and all project activities.
Enforces Clariant policies and safety regulations.
Responsible for scheduling over time.
Responsible for ensuring all 5S initiatives are met or exceeded and removing barriers to achieve plant-wide success.
Develops Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) as needed; report incidents and manage appropriate review meetings and work orders; ensure all required ESHA forms are accurate, complete and appropriately addressed; manage the Waste Water Treatment Facility; and act as Incident Commander, as needed.
Input, review, and release maintenance work orders that are generated.
Maintains certification in DOT, IATA, IMDG (IMO), Hazardous Waste, and Alcohol and Substance Abuse Awareness.
High School degree or more than 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in logistics or materials management.
Skilled in SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
Excellent attendance and performance record.
Excellent safety record with a demonstrated ability to approach safety issues proactively.
Demonstrated team leadership.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Essential Requirements: Experience, Educational & Special Training Required
With guidance from Operations Supervisor performs tasks required for operation of cryogenic plant, amine treater plant, glycol/dehydration system, PD pumps and centrifugal pumps, including but not limited to: completing log readings for the amine treater plant and dehydration System, and maintaining proper oil levels in rotating equipment, process pumps and blowers. Recognizes operating deviations and takes appropriate corrective action.
Maintains cleanliness and general appearance of facilities and surrounding work area as needed. Performs lab testing of amine, water and black gasoline as needed.
Provides relief for the Process Operator "A" position when required.
Other duties as assigned.

Natural Gas Plant work is subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions, extreme temperatures, heights, high-pressure gas lines, heavy lifting, and cramped conditions. The job also may require shift work, occasional unscheduled call-outs and extended workdays and/or workweeks. Employees are required to live within a reasonable distance of their reporting location. Position is subject to applicable U.S. Department of Transportation Drug & Alcohol regulations.
Natural gas gathering and processing is an "around the clock" operation and incumbents are required to be reasonably available to respond to emergency and other operational needs whenever they occur. The job will require some travel for temporary assignments, meetings, and training.

Understand, follow, and enforce all GMP, Safety, and Food Safety requirements
Be able to access production schedules, LOTO and safe work permits and update them as needed during a shift
Be able to look at current and future orders on the production schedule and understand what pre-work needs done to be able to produce an order.
Gain access to SAP and learn how to navigate, issue, and receipt process orders.
