This Process Technician will support development, engineering and manufacturing operations in the Polish and CMP department to enable efficient processing of SiC wafers. This position will own the day to day activities such as on time completion of process and tool checks/calibrations, WIP disposition and Production support. A big portion of this role will also be focused on Continuous Improvement of existing processes to reduce cycle time, cost and improve yield. As a Materials Project Manager in the Global Wafer Operations (GWO) group you would be responsible for the following areas: 1. Work with the team to help ensure that all wafer orders globally are fulfilled in a timely manner by matching demand with supply within our wafer ordering database. 2.
Help ensure that we have the correct types and amounts of material on hand at all times to fulfill these orders. 3. Working with your team and our indirect materials sourcing group to solicit, analyze and make recommendations on all substrate purchasing decisions in support of our silicon, solar and global services organizations. 4. Lead and participate in meetings with various business units to discuss strategic sourcing strategies and technology roadmap areas that will be impacted or influenced by the type of substrates used. 5.
Track and understand wafer logistics so that we know at all times what is arriving and what is leaving our warehouse, where it is going and when it will get there. 6. Provide leadership within the GWO group to identify areas for improvement or optimization with regard to order placement and fulfillment process, communications paths and systems. 7. Help manage and optimize the substrate specifications we purchase so that all technology needs are met while managing the lowest number of different wafer specifications 8.
Monitor funding for all major substrate providers and ensure that funding never runs out for as long as we are doing ongoing business with them. 9.
