Performs functions associated with all wafer production operations, including photolithography, thin film, etch and electroplating.
Performs set-up, calibration and preventative maintenance tasks on wafer fabrication equipment.

Uses sophisticated programs to track and control wafers through the production process.
May coach or train other lower level technicians, to develop teamwork, leadership and technical skills.
Works with engineering in conducting tests and experiments.
This position will frequently operate in a self-directed work team environment
Required and Preferred Skills/Experience
High School diploma with 2 - 4 years of related experience preferred
8+ years experience with operation of wafer-based manufacturing equipment
Must be able to perform light lifting and carrying duties
Demonstrated computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications
Must be able and willing to evening shift and/or day shift, including some weekday and weekend overtime when required.
Must be able to sit and stand for an extended period of time (3-5 hrs)
US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required.
Working Conditions: Perform duties in a clean room environment, which requires special protective-outer garments (provided by the company) to maintain cleanliness in the workspace. Area will be temperature controlled (average temperature 70-degrees F).
May require lifting/moving of up to 50lbs

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for quality, productivity, cycle time and accountable for individual/team results of Responsible for assigned manufacturing tooling and processes. Must be able to understand and resolve problems within areas of responsibility.
Must be able to understand and react to Statistical Process Control (SPC); read and understand production reports and process instructions; and able to assist lower level operators with production related problems. Must possess good communication, problem solving, computer and team building skills. Will be expected to document and communicate a daily production and tooling status and participate in shift crossover meetings.
Candidate must be flexible, able to learn quickly and coordinate training within the cell. Candidate will spend 100% of their time working within their assigned cell. Candidate will work a 12 hour Alternate Work Schedule (AWS), and will be expected to work moderate overtime. The candidate will be required to wear cleanroom garments (hood, bunny suit, gloves) and work in a class 100 - 1000 cleanroom.
Two to 5 years manufacturing, hands-on experience and 1 - 2 years leadership experience. Must possess a strong sense of urgency and be results oriented; able to make decision while under pressure, using all available data.
Must have strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. Should have a good understanding of Wafer manufacturing tooling and processes and shop floor control system(s). Must be able to resolve minor production or tooling problems.

The environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, and noisy.
