Molding Machine Operator
This is an awesome Sonoma County company that is willing to train for the right candidate.
Under minimum supervision, use machine tools, hand tools and measuring instruments; read drawings, procedures, and work instructions; to strip cables and materials into final products. Perform visual inspection and data recording to ensure and accept product that meets quality requirements for shipment to customers.
Use hand tools and measuring devices (ruler, tape measure, diagonal cutters, pneumatic crimpers, thermocouple, durometer) to measure, cut, and mold materials as required.
Interpret and perform according to engineering blue prints, drawings, work instructions, workmanship standards, manufacturing instructions and inspection and test procedures.
Basic math skills including addition and subtraction of fractions and decimal measurements
Perform visual inspection of work performed for defects and adherence to workmanship standards and BIW specifications.
Maintain production database (SAP), data logs and other data records as needed.
Ability to work in an warehouse environment and stand for prolonged time (2 hr increments)
Capability to flex between work stations
Use heat presses to mold rubber for required product.
Working hours: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM

- Removes flexible rubber connector(s) from mold using gloves for heat protection.
- Places product on work-bench located in front of each machine.

- Places steel band inside rubber connector.

Position Detail: McMillen Jacobs Associates is seeking 6 - 10 Heavy Equipment Operators for an earthwork project located in Southeast Colorado. This project will last from November 1, 2018 thru Mid-Summer of 2019.
Our Heavy Equipment Operators will perform a wide variety of tasks assisting various skilled crafts working on the project with an emphasis in multiple areas. This position requires someone with a track record of performing highly skilled work in the operation and general maintenance of a wide variety of heavy equipment used in construction and maintenance work. This person may serve as a lead worker of a crew. Operators will may perform other duties assigned by their direct foreman or superintendent.
Work involves responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of primarily the heaviest and largest types of construction equipment used in a full range of construction and maintenance work. Applicants must have strong understanding of construction and will have mastered a broad spectrum of activities and responsibilities that take place in the field. Must have attained basic leadership skills and possess a strong understanding of equipment safety standards.
Strong technical ability to operate one or multiple pieces of equipment including large excavators (40,000lbs +), amphibious excavators, and/or motor graders.
Experience operating small excavators (less than 20,000lbs), off road haul trucks, forklifts up to 12K including off road telescoping, roller compactors, jobsite water trucks.
Experience operating one or multiple pieces of equipment including medium excavators (20,000 40,000lbs), long reach excavators, dozers (up to D8 size or equivalent), and scrapers (self-loading and non).
Daily equipment inspection to insure that equipment functions properly.
Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors.
Daily equipment maintenance. Fuel, grease, clean, and make basic repairs to equipment.
Equipment operators are to ensure that safety procedures are completely followed.
Must follow all McMillen Jacobs Associates safety program policies and procedures as well as OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and any additional governing agencies.
Monitor and review information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems. Must report hazards to relevant authorities.
Inspect working environment prior to work beginning to ensure that it is safe.
Perform physical activities like kneeling, crawling, and lifting amongst others.

Under general supervision, this position performs tasks associated with the construction/upgrade of cable television or telephone systems.
