We are seeking resumes for a Die Mounter in our New Oxford, Pennsylvania facility for 3rd shift.
Responsible for the repair, cleaning and troubleshooting of dies.
Operate a standup forklift safely and efficiently.
Communicate with machine operators and supervisors on tooling issues and scheduling changes/problems.
Maintain tooling equipment and stock for die repair, such as rule, rubber, adhesives, punches, numbers and matrix.
Repair and/or modify dies using machine tools and hand tools.
Responsible for maintaining die inventory, pulling and replacing die by number and location according to factory cards.
Responsible for pulling and putting away dies for production machines as needed.
Understand and follow instructions on factory card.
Apply working knowledge of proper height rule for each machine.
Installs matrix when needed.
Assist Operators or Assistants with die repairs and pre-mount dies in chase - loaders and performs all other pre-press tasking when possible.
Color codes dies for ease of press side use and removal.
Inspect dies prior to run, ensuring the dies are press ready and all die components are present and in usable condition.
Input data and maintain accurate documentation in computer system.
Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
Adhere to all safety and work rules, company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties, as needed.
High school diploma/GED.
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, walk, turn, and pivot.
Ability to stand constantly, and frequently step up and down off forklift.
Ability to constantly push/pull dies weighing up to 50 pounds.

Role and Responsibilities:
Pull envelopes and file plates to match work orders. File and clean plates daily.
Ensure press operators are not down due to not having plates or plate envelopes.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to accurately complete high volumes of work.
Follow and support all established standard work and plate mounting procedures related to platemounter tasks.
Maintain work center equipment in good working order. Perform operator preventive maintenance on equipment as outlined in plate mounting operator PM schedule. Report equipment problems. immediately and fill out work orders as necessary.
Pull correct tooling as documented on Work Instructions.
Examine Cylinders prior to mounting to ensure they are defect free and have good gears and bearings.
Ensure the proper cylinder is used (hard case, A-B-C) and cylinders are of the correct tooth size & correct undercut prior to use.
Check plates for defects prior to mounting. Inform plate making of the defect and request a new plate(s) be made.
Mount correct quantity of plates and number of plates based off listed colors and guidelines for 4 CP, games, etc.
Seek to improve the plate mounting process through, recommending equipment enhancement, process improvements and procedure changes. Work as a team to improve and streamline the process with each department through communication with other departments and plate mounters.
Cross train to be proficient and able to interchangeable perform Platemaker responsibilities.
Physical requirements include ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs. (20 lbs. repetitively), stand up to 12 hours; distinguish color, and good hand-eye coordination.
Be available to work overtime as needed.
Required to work 12 hour shifts; required to work weekends as scheduled on a regular or as-needed basis.

Plate Mounter (Machinist)
The purpose of this position is to accurately mount printing plates to saddles per customer specifications.
Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results
Review job ticket instructions to determine requirements of job production.
Operation of the following types of equipment: Harley Opti-Check mounters, ACT sticky-back applicator, RJE large shear, Adler sewing machine, and Esko Kongsberg Cutting Table.
Ensure plates are free of blemishes and are correct to the job.
Ensure that all materials are to customer specifications for each particular job and/or press.
Assist Project Managers and Sales with production issues/questions.
Operate forklift when necessary, if trained.
Performs preventive maintenance on equipment when necessary.
QC all work performed following the department SOP's. Check off, sign, and date checklists.
Make sure all jobs and materials are properly charged.
When handing off jobs to co-workers/next shift, clearly communicate any information for them to complete the job.
Overtime is required when necessary.
Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements
This position requires the following knowledge and skills:
- Trade school certificate in Graphic Arts/Printing or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years' experience mounting plates for corrugate and/or making flexographic plates preferred.

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assists in contact lens fittings and in assessing patient needs. Educate the patient on contact lens wear and insertion, and order in appropriate material.
Standard Hours: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, with 1-hour lunch. May flex hours as needed.

Hours: This position will train on A-shift and after training be on B or C shift .
Cleaning, organizing and maintaining work areas.
Correctly laying out the job, mounting the plates and making sure the eye mark is in the proper location.
Must be able to read the schedule and anticipate press changeover timing.
Identify mounting priorities of jobs on the schedule.
Cleaning, organizing and maintaining plate cylinders and cylinder inventory.
Cleaning, organizing and maintaining all printing sleeves and sleeve inventory.
Cleaning and maintaining mounting machines.
Cleaning plates, demounting plates, checking plate condition and refiling plate jackets.

Mounting and demounting build up sleeves.
Checking cylinder TIR and sending to the machine shop for repair.
Remounting plates, moving plates in the press and changing the eye mark locations when necessary.
Communicate with the mounter from the previous shift.
Collects numbers from running jobs from each press at the beginning of each shift.
Reorder plates as needed
Fill out the daily mounting report, production reports, quality check sheets.

Plate Mounter - Flexible Packaging (2B Shift)-De Pere, WI

RESPONSIBILITY: Under thedirection of the foreman, the banding and rebinding of the large scrap boxesand the mounting of paperboard rolls as needed to meet productionrequirements. This employee may becalled on to perform Stock Puller duties in the absence of the Stock Puller.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other dutiesmay be assigned.
It will be theresponsibility of the roll mounter to keep rolls mounted on the Mercury and
The roll mounterwill pull the rolls from a staging area or from stacks of rolls that have beenpancaked in the warehouse.
The roll mountermay be required to take the rolls needed from off a tractor-trailer whennecessary to meet production needs.
The roll mounterwill be responsible for removing the yellow roll ticket from each roll, dating,initialing the ticket, matching the yellow roll ticket with the white ticketwith the same number.
The roll mounterwill staple the white and yellow tickets together and hang them on a placeprovided at the roll stand.
The roll mounterwill be responsible for trimming bad layers of board off the roll and trimmingout damaged places on the side of the roll in order to help keep the cutter rollmounter roll change down time to a minimum.
It will be theresponsibility of the roll mounter to change the roll stands over in order toaccommodate the different roll widths.
After each rollstand change, it will be the responsibility of the roll mounter to have theforeman check for proper spacing and bolt tightness before a roll is mounted.
Each roll standwill have instructions on it telling how to properly set the roll stand.
The roll mounterwill be responsible for a toolbox and tools assigned to the job.
It will be theresponsibility of the roll mounter to empty scrap boxes located throughout theplant as they become full.
The roll mounterwill be responsible for putting the roll check off slip in the proper jacketwhen the last roll is mounted.
The roll mounterwill be responsible for keeping the work area clean.
When needed, the roll mounter may be asked towork in the baler room.
