Responsibilities As a
Metal Forming Machine Operator, you will:
Applies specialized skills, methods, procedures, and techniques to monitor and operate complex Grabener coin presses, sheet metal rolling mills to press scrap metal and defective coins into sheet metal, upsetting mills, and other production and support machinery associated with the coin manufacturing industry.
Monitor operations on presses, observe instrument panels, listen for deviations in normal rhythm and sounds and take appropriate action to prevent mechanical failure and assure meeting high quality standards for completed coins.
Inspect blanks before insertion into collars; the finished product is visually inspected for common flaws (e.g., cracks, piece out, dirt, lint, press shifts, etc.) and overall appearance.
Identify defective tooling and causes of various defects in quality of coins and potential causes for jamming, overheating, cracked dies collars, improper strikes, loose grippers inserts, broken or bent pins, springs, etc.
Perform routine troubleshooting for readily apparent minor defects to internal mechanisms and feeder flow obstructions and disassemble assembly of feeder mechanisms and other external press components.

Incumbents of this position frequently handle objects weighing up to 9 kilograms (20 pounds) and occasionally objects weighing up to 23 kilograms (50 pounds); however, hoists, lifts, and workers are available to assist in moving heavier items. They are required to lift, reach, push, pull, bend, walk, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
Employees sometimes work in cramped positions over and under machinery when troubleshooting machine issues.. Must be able to work in cramped quarters positions for sustained periods of time and must have sufficient eyesight to do close work and endurance, hand eye coordination is required to keep pace with the operation of machines and controls. Operation of a forklift may be required. Work requires sitting and or standing for prolonged periods of time.

Entry Level Machine Operator
Boston Centerless is looking to hire an entry level or experienced Centerless Grinder to set up and operate one or more centerless grinding machines to grind external cylindrical or tapered surfaces of rotating metal, aluminum, plastic workpieces to blueprint specifications, following instructions and applying knowledge of grinding procedures. Training will be provided as needed.
Qualified candidates will be have the ability to read blueprint and job order for product specifications, such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground. Additionally, they will be responsible for lifting and positioning workpiece manually or with hoist, observing operation of the centerless grinder verifying dimensions of ground workpiece for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and preset gauges.

3Rd Shift Knitter I/Entry Level Machine Operator

SWM is seeking 3rd shift (M-F 12a - 8a) Machine Operators to work at our West Chicago Facility
Spanish speaking or bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Perform operations on assigned machines.
Notify machine set-up person or mechanic if more complex tools or machine adjustments are required.
Areas of Responsibility:
• Repair simple defects in the material.
• Run knitting or other machinery in an efficient and safe manner.
• Package product in accordance with packaging instructions.
• Store finished product per instructions.
• Label products with lot number, serial, product type, or description.Report production through the data collection system.
• Report accurate time entries in the data collection system.
Hair nets required.
Maintain orderly production area.
Assures compliance to current GMPs within the scope of job functions.
