Light Rail Servicer
Under direct supervision of LRV Supervision, the LRV Servicer will clean and service METRO Light Rail Vehicles, Rail Facility and Rail components in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
Responsibilities and Specific Duties
Clean Light Rail Vehicles to include flooring, windows, passenger seats, oeprator cabs, interior panels, lighting fixtures, return air grills and vehicle ducting.
Checks and maintain appropriate levels of washer fluid and sand.
Performs detailed cleaning on Light Rail Vehicle and components as required.

Minimum Qualifications/ Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum two (2) years of stable work experience. Experience in building maintenance services preferred.
Valid Texas Drivers License required. Must obtain and maintain yard safety certification. Good (verbal and written) communication skills are essential. Able to complete/fill-out written reports, records and forms.
A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check is required prior to the placement of any individual in a position that requires the operation of a METRO revenue or non-revenue vehicle on behalf of METRO:

AIRCRAFT SERVICER (Airport Utility Worker)
The Aircraft Servicer (Airport Utility Worker) services aircraft, performing any combination of the following tasks, directs incoming and outgoing aircraft near terminal or flight line parking area to assist pilot's maneuvering of the aircraft on ground, using hand or light signals or drives light truck with guiding sign, and secures aircraft in parking position with blocks, stakes, and tie downs.
The Aircraft Servicer (Airport Utility Worker) does the following tasks: operates service vehicles to replenish fuel, oil, water, waste system chemicals, oxygen, hydraulic fluid, and to remove waste, enters in the maintenance records description of the servicing performed, checks for fuel contamination by draining sumps and fuel drains; operates ground support equipment such as electrical power supply and engine starting units, examines tires for specified air pressure and condition, assists in jacking and towing aircraft, removes and replaces defective tires, positions and removes boarding platforms to unload or load aircraft passengers, unloads and loads luggage and cargo, using tow truck with luggage carts, and cleans exterior or interior of aircraft, using portable platform ladders, brushes, rags, water hose, and vacuum. The Aircraft Servicer may de-ice aircraft wings and assemblies load and unload containers of food, beverages, and dishes for in-flight meal services, trace lost luggage for customers and prepare lost baggage claims, and install drag chutes or retrieve them and send them to parachute shop for repacking.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Direct aircraft into and out of parking areas utilizing proper hand and arm signals
Furnish ground handling services and assistance to include aircraft fire guard, parking guides and assistance, mooring, starting, repositioning, and similar preflight and post-flight ground handling
Utilize ground support equipment (power carts, light carts, etc.) to assist withservicing and loading/unloading aircraft
Maintains grounding devices, chocks, electrical power units, maintenance stands, boarding ladders, air starting units, air compressors, generators, tow-bars, auxiliary power units, fire bottles, and support equipment assigned to the airfield
Positions and operates all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) in regard to aircraft. Operates fire extinguishers, maintenance stands, ground power units both AC and DC, and Air start carts.
Provide flight line transportation upon request for passengers, baggage or cargo between aircraft and airfield facilities
Perform airfield checks
Inspects runways, taxiways, and aircraft parking areas for potential foreignobject damage (FOD) and police of same
Operate vehicular mounted and portable two-way radios to coordinate with Air Traffic Control tower and Airfield Base Operations concerning air traffic information
Refuel/defuel at various locations on Redstone Arsenal
Ensure aircraft is secured, positions the tanker, ensures aircraft and truck are properly grounded and conducts aircraft refueling operations
Maintain refueling area and facilities in a high state of cleanliness and safety. Inspect bulk fuel storage area and fuel truck parking area daily for spillage, leaks and foreign objects
Perform work involved in the operation of fuel distribution and refueling system that are to operate pumps and valves in the RAAF fuel pits
Test fuel according to DoD standards
Must maintain a neat appearance and exercise customer relation skills that reinforce good order and discipline recognized on any military installation.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
HS diploma REQUIRED
Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance
Must possess a valid state driver’s license in order to obtain a US Government issued and airfield driver’s license. Must possess or be able to obtain a commercial driver license (CDL) with HAZMAT endorsement.
Must have a minimum of 2 years flight line, ground handling, or FAA equivalent with required certifications
Must meet all training, qualifications, and certification requirements (Federal, DoD, State, and local) in performance of the job duties

Participate in the construction, maintenance, rebuild, removal, operation, testing and inspection of energized or de-energized generation, transmission and distribution facilities.
