About the Opportunity
The Elyria Site (Lear Romec Brand) offers the most reliable positive displacement pumps in the industry consisting of vane, gerotor, and spur gear configurations. Products include lube and scavenge pumps that are ETOPS rated; high contamination resistance gerotor pumps for oil applications; high pressure spur gear pumps; centrifugal fuel pumps and centrifugal coolant pumps. Our pumps are used on many General Aviation, business jet, commercial transport, and military aircraft applications.
We need a talented individual in our Fluid Management Group at our Elyria, OH facility to fill the role of a CNC/Lathe and Grind Operator to learn and adequately perform the duties and responsibilities of the Liner Cell team trainee occupation.
Process rough material through various machining and allied operations in a team oriented cell.
Responsible for maintaining cell inventory.
Set up and operate various machines within the cell, inspect parts, deburr, perform flush and chip check, and perform various sub assembly operations. Use manual mills, drills, and various gauges when required.
Provide a finish in accordance with the manufacturing outline and blueprint requirements including but not limited to removal of burrs and edge breaks.
Identify and mark parts to blueprints and/or applicable specifications. Clean and move parts as necessary.
Pass an annual eye exam.
Responsible for product verification and process control including using necessary measuring devices.
Keep charts and records as required on completed sequences and processes.
Rotate to different work stations within the cell. Perform required rework, secondary operations, routine maintenance per Appendix A, and appropriate safety checks in the cell.
Document all non-conformances through specified data collection procedures.
Inspect work and verify that product meets all appropriate standards at each operational step in the cell.
Complete all required paperwork.
Insure all material is properly cleaned, identified, protected, and stacked prior to movement.
Work with internal and external customers and suppliers and participate in continuous improvement activities as required.
Complete all required documentation including but not limited to operator inspection records, job routers, NCR's, reject tags, move tickets, and stock tickets.
Perform other duties as assigned by department supervisor. Utilize computer to access various databases .
High School Diploma;
Must have previous CNC machining and milling experience.
Must have basic reading and writing skills; Requires basic math skills to make necessary calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, detail sheets, manufacturing outlines, and written instructions;
Requires a working knowledge of fixtures, cutting tools, CNC controls and machines, and selecting and dressing wheels for finish requirements.
Requires prolonged periods of standing, bending, lifting, and stretching;
Requires occasional lifting parts, fixtures, and containers, weighing up to 50 pounds to a height of 5 feet;
Requires frequent lifting and loading of parts weighing up to 30 pounds to a height of 5 feet; Requires use of burring tools

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, performs the rigging up and down of Service Tools service line equipment on work locations for the purpose of providing drillable and retrievable tools for use in pressure control, plug and abandon, treating, and squeeze operations. Performs as a one-man service crew.
Routinely works in more than one type of well site (off or onshore) as assigned by Service Coordinator. Coordinates and oversees Service Tools PSL (i.e., packers) functions at the well site. Responsible for operating Service Tools equipment at the customer location to include but are not limited to:
Squeeze jobs, plug jobs, negative tests, Subsurface Control Valve (SSCV) I, Squeeze Manifold. b) Easy-Sliding Valve Brash (EZ-SVB) run on wire-line and drill-pipe. c) RTTS Packer and By-pass. e) Fas-Drill Packer run on wire-line and drill-pipe. f) Indicating Ball Catcher and Indicating Latch Down Plug Catcher and g) Jars. May help train service operators in areas of expertise. May monitor instruments and perform necessary calculations to assure quality of data/job.
Consults with customers concerning services and products, and promotes good customer relations at the well site, and assures customer satisfaction with results. Properly maintains assigned equipment and monitors compliance with safety regulations and procedures. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.
Skills typically acquired through completion of high school diploma or similar education and a minimum of 18 months experience as a Service Operator I-Service Tools. Must have successfully passed company tests or met task guideline requirements.
Ability to demonstrate to pressure test equipment safely and interpret Tool Engineering Drawings is required. Must be able to perform job per the following criteria: a) Ability to conduct pre-job toolbox safety meeting b) Ability to review and verify job plan with customer representative and manage any changes required c) Check and verify equipment as per job plan d) Ability to perform job unassisted e) Ability to complete all job documentation, for example: Job Ticket, Job History Report, End of Job Customer Survey (EJCS)/Key Performance Indicator (KPI), Job Log, Job Summary etc., and f) Demonstrate understand of down hole hydraulics, including basic job calculations. Must have met all minimum competency requirements for Service Operator I-Service Tools.
