Responsible for proper operation of the line including all aspects of the machine productivity and high quality of the finished product.
- Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work instructions within the Control Plan related to the production area including correct material, instructions and quality.
- Operate and maintain the machines according to the priorities established by the Supervisor.
- Responsible for production of product as follows:
- Type and quantity of product built that will support the shipping schedule as provided by the Team Leader/Kanbans.
- The product will be produced in a timely manner to support shipping the product on time.
- The product manufactured will match the design and quality specifications.
- The product will be packed in accordance with the Control Plan.
- Meet the customer’s quality requirements through the inspection of product according to the SOP.
- Complete Cell Production Form correctly for each order produced at the end of the production run or shift, whichever is sooner.
- Under the direction of the Supervisor, lead and direct members of the production line.
- Lead in setting up lines.Check all line settings in Control Plan; document any changes needed and give them to the Supervisor.
- Properly dispose of all scrap and waste material.
- Ensure area around line is clean, organized, and set up for specific product being run.
- Ensure line is properly fed with either raw materials or work-in-process at all times.
- Develop and maintain open lines of communication with the rest of the line; i.e. letting the rest of the line know where they are on schedule and updating line operators regarding completion status of the line’s production schedule intermittently during the shift.
- Troubleshoot all problems that prevent lines from running in a timely fashion.
- Ensure the safe operation of equipment and tools and practice safe working habits at all times including team members.
- Assist with training of Line Operators.
- Cross train on other production lines.
- Immediately report any unsafe act or condition.
- Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules

Description and Responsibilities
We currently have an opening for a 2nd shift Machine Operator. Hours are 2:30pm
Thursday with availability to work overtime most Fridays (and Saturdays) if needed. The Machine Operator has the primary responsibility of managing the operation of the packaging lines and coordinating with other team members to achieve the most efficiency and highest quality of finished goods.
Responsibile for proper safe operations of the packaging equipment, as well as GMP requirements.
Responsible for running the packaging lines as per Production Supervisor instructions.
Provides leadership to general labor crew by giving direction and feedback in order to hit daily production schedules and goals.
Responsible for flavor changes.
Perform the necessary machine settings, change tools including Hoppers, Augers, Can Twisters.
Adjust label sizes and fill weights for different containers.
Load rolls of film on machines.
Per shift, maintain equipment clean, weigh charts every half hour and record keeping as needed.
Ensure compliance with Federal and State labor laws.
Comply with HACCP and GMP protocols for Production.
Perform QC protocols as required by supervisor.
Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements as trained.
Team member must ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement.
Follow GMPs, SOPs and safety rules in order to maintain a safe, quality conscience work envirorment at all times.
Ensure good housekeeping in packaging area.
Follow Sanitation Standards in packaging area.
Notify the Supervisor of any packaging deficiencies and any food safety violations.
Perform monthly preventative maintenance program.
Demonstrate high degree of ownership for product quality, understanding of production schedules and work instructions.
Perform other tasks as negotiated with supervisor.
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum one year recent food manufacturing experience.
Must be able to read and write in English.
Good mathematical aptitude, with ability to add, multiply, subtract, and divide.

Machine Operator Production- Day Shift
$16.60 per hour
Position operates one or multiple pieces of manufacturing equipment. This may include moving raw material handling to the production line, and/or filling, capping, sealing, labeling or packaging product. Removes damaged products or supplies, as needed. Position responsible for production, package, and flavor changeovers. Maintains required product inspection processes. Performs basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure production equipment runs efficiently.
Position requires lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling cases weighing 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly over a long work period. This position requires walking or standing most of the time during the shift and may include stooping, crawling and crouching over and under conveyors. Position may be required to work weekends and/or holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities
Checks paperwork and material for accuracy and prepares required materials for fabrication
Cuts, threads, grooves, grinds, and sprays pipes using various tools and machines to specifications

Bundles, labels, and packs fabricated pipe
Places completed bundles in pallets or footings with strappings using a forklift in the storage area
