Sr. Accountant, Plant Accounting (Sabine Pass)
Senior Accountant, Plant Accounting will work directly with the Plant Controller to record journal entries, complete account reconciliations and perform financial analyses for Cheniere's Sabine Pass liquefaction and regasification operations.
Senior Accountant, Plant Accounting will hold knowledge of relevant financial accounting standards and apply knowledge to financial transactions. Lastly, the Senior Accountant, Sabine Pass Plant Accounting will evaluate changing business demands and anticipate potential accounting issues that could adversely impact the accuracy of Cheniere's books and records.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Complete financial analytical reviews including balance sheet fluctuation analysis and P&L variances.
Assist with development and maintenance of forecasting & budgeting activities.
Lead project specific activities including:
PO Accrual activities
Analyze transactions posting to accounts to ensure proper accounting treatment applied.
Assist with project module administration activities as requested.
Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure timely clearing and documentation of transactions.
Gather information from other departments to understand non-recurring financial transactions, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS)
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strong preference or working towards certification completion.
3-5 years progressive responsibility in Corporate Accounting, Operations/Plant Accounting, external auditing, forecasting & budgeting, and/or relevant experience.
Pipeline and Oil & Gas Accounting experience preferred.
Skills – Technical:
Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Understanding of Oracle v12 ERP system.
Use of Hyperion Essbase/Smartview and Hyperion Planning.

Director Commercial Development
Sempra LNG & Midstream (SLNG&M) (www.SempraLNGM.com) leads Sempra Energy's initiatives to develop, construct and operate liquefied natural gas (LNG) liquefaction and regasification terminal facilities. Since 2003, SLNG&M has developed two LNG regasification terminals (Cameron LNG and Energia Costa Azul) and a natural gas liquefaction export facility (the Cameron LNG Liquefaction Project).
Energia Costa Azul (www.energiacostaazul.com.mx) was developed by SLNG&M and was the first LNG regasification terminal on the west coast of Mexico. This facility commenced operations in 2008 with 7.4 Mtpa of regasification capacity.
The Cameron LNG Liquefaction Project was developed by SLNG&M and is one of the first liquefaction facilities in the U.S. at the site of the existing Cameron LNG regasification terminal in Louisiana. The Cameron Liquefaction Project (www.CameronLNG.com), a 3-train $10 billion investment by SLNG&M (50.2%), Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (16.6%), Total S.A. (16.6%) and Mitsubishi Corporation (through a company jointly established with Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK)) (16.6%), will have a nominal capacity of 13.5 Mtpa. Construction commenced in October 2014 and first LNG production from all three trains is expected by the end of 2019.
SLNG&M also manages 3.7 Mtpa of LNG supply from Tangguh in Indonesia.
SLNG&M has two natural gas liquefaction projects under development; Port Arthur LNG and ECA LNG.
Port Arthur LNG (www.portarthurlng.com) is a two-train, greenfield liquefaction facility with 12 Mtpa of nameplate capacity, 3 LNG storage tanks, 2 marine berths, and associated facilities near Port Arthur, Texas. The project is under development including permitting, engineering with Bechtel, LNG marketing and related development activities. FID is targeted for 2019 with first LNG supply in 2023. ECA LNG (www.ecalng.com) is a two-train, liquefaction facility with 12 Mtpa of nameplate capacity being developed at the site of the Energia Costa Azul regasification terminal as a brownfield liquefaction project which includes 2 LNG storage tanks, 1 marine berth, and associated facilities, near Ensenada, Mexico. The project is under development with an initial 3 Mtpa phase, to be followed by a 12 Mtpa expansion phase, including permitting, engineering with TechnipFMC and Kiewit, LNG marketing and related development activities. FID is targeted for 2019+ with first LNG supply in 2023+.
SLNG&M is also evaluating additional regasification and related infrastructure projects in support of its LNG business.
The Director, Commercial Development will provide project commercial development leadership and support for liquefaction projects being developed by SLNG&M. The position will involve either a project leadership role, be a functional lead over various development teams, or provide commercial development support in specific project areas based on the candidate's experience and skills. Projects being developed by SLNG&M typically represent investments ranging from $1 billion to $10 billion. The qualified candidate will have a broad range of prior leadership experience including in such areas as commercial, technical, operational, and/or finance related aspects of large-scale project development and commercial contract development and negotiations in the LNG industry. This position may be based in Houston, Texas or San Diego, California.
Candidate experience would likely include:
Project Commercial leader overseeing cross functional project team covering areas including: commercial, technical, permitting, operations, joint venture/equity, budgets/cost management, project development schedule, project finance, external affairs, insurance/risk management, and related project development activities.
The candidate will lead a cross-functional, matrix organization within a project team.
Proven project development and delivery of business objectives, ability to analyze and understand complex situations, and ability to develop, recommend and implement practicable solutions in accordance with world-class industry standards.
Review, analyze and develop project documents, working within the project team, including EPC Contract, LNG SPAs, Gas Purchase Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Loan Facility Agreements and related project agreements.
Prepare and present written detailed project analysis, business cases, updates, presentations and reports for the project team and to senior management.
Strong commercial development experience in the LNG and natural gas sector and major project development experience.
