Main position objectives
The inspector will be responsible for the inspection of every die before it leaves the machine shop. They will also assemble all dies to make them fully functional. All required dimensional features will be inspected with the proper inspection equipment. These dimensions will be recorded and stored electronically. Visual inspection will also be performed so that all dies shipped to the customer meet all Gala standards.

Read and interpret blueprints.
Use the most effective and efficient methods to measure each die.
Select proper measuring instrument for the feature being measured.
Dimensionally and visually inspect the product to assure the product meets all print and customer requirements.
Enter data in a data base.
Assemble the die after inspection, adding all components specified for that particular die.
Other tasks as assigned by manager.

CNC Machinist (3Rd Shift) - Plate
The CNC MACHINIST is an operations team member with the primary goal of satisfying customer requirements of quality, and delivery, by operating CNC machining centers in a safe and efficient manner. The duties include the operation of a CNC machining centers that are commensurate to industry standards, with regards to program edits, setting up of tooling, and setting up the machine tool in general. Secondary deburring and packaging of finished parts, along with moving products to appropriate locations via appropriate equipment (i.e. fork lifts, cranes, pallet jacks) is required. Company fork lift training is provided. Newer HAAS machining centers with integrated probing and network communications. Part sizes range from small (less than 1/4lb) to large (2000lbs).

Plate Mounter / Plate Librarian
Responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of plates and the plate room, ensuring that plates are available and accessible for all areas of production; includes manufacturing and mounting plates onto printing cylinders for upcoming jobs, and maintaining the inventory and catalog of press plates that are used in the print room. This includes pulling and assembling plate jackets for kitting and maintaining the library inventory. Prioritizes job jackets to meet press room needs.
Role and Responsibilities:
Monitors production schedule to pull and file plates in advance.
Alerts scheduling to have orders run together that have similar plates, dies, etc.
Files and cleans plates daily.
Ensures plate jackets are updated with current item numbers and Vision system numbers.
Pulls correct tooling as documented on Work Instructions.
Examines cylinders prior to mounting to ensure they are defect free and have good gears and bearings.
Ensures the proper cylinder is used (hard case, A-B-C) and cylinders are of the correct tooth size & correct undercut prior to use.
Checks plates for defects prior to mounting. Informs plate making of the defect and requests new plates be made.
Mounts correct quantity and number of plates based off listed colors and guidelines for production.
Follows Vision press schedule and pulls all orders ahead of production schedule.
Checks plates for defects, such as worn plate, missing type, cracks and creases.
Completes proper paperwork for standard work and pharmaceutical orders, such as First Article Sign-Off sheet.
Makes sure plate jackets are updated with current labels.
Prepare plate transfers between plants.
Be available to work overtime as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop implementation plan for category strategy customized for multiple Distribution Centers. Ensure implementation is in alignment with overall US Foods category strategy and goals and defined Area needs.
