This position is responsible for setting up and operating equipment that grinds ingredients used in the manufacturing of food products while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Applicants will be considered for any general production opening. These openings require standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, shoveling, climbing stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bending, stretching, reaching, working in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors.
Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions. Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high pressure hose. Must be able to read and complete required logs.
Must be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. May be required to operate frontend loader or forklift and will be required to obtain certification to do so. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview.

Primary skills required are in condition based maintenance assessment repair, and maintenance of Magazine Sprinklers/Navy Fixed Firefighting Systems on US Naval ships.

Demonstrate a working knowledge of Navy assessment programs, visit processes and reporting Methods for visits.
Provide support for various assessments and technical assistance. Following is possible list of equipment and services to be supported. This is not an all-inclusive list and is subject to change: Magazine Sprinklers/Navy Fixed Firefighting Systems and Damage Control Firefighting Equipment, Conduct inspections and/or assessment of current ship conditions.
Evaluate the findings of the inspections and/or assessments and determine away ahead to correct the current situation.
Ability to utilize computers including the Microsoft Office Suite for compiling information for reports and history files and transfer digital pictures from camera to computer and enhance as required and label them for report purposes.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
Minimum of eight (8) years of general experience with the installation, operation, repair, testing and maintenance of the installation, operation, repair, testing and maintenance of Naval Magazine Sprinklers/Navy fixed firefighting systems.
Minimum of five (5) years specialized experience in the operation, repair, maintenance, inspection and assessment support of US Naval Ships" Ammunition Magazine Sprinkler Systems and related controls.
Must be currently NAVSEA certified Magazine Sprinkler Inspector IAW MSSI Requirements Letter of 24 May 88 and JFFM VOL IV Chapter 14, 14.2.2.a
Minimum of 5 years specialized experience in the operation, repair, maintenance, inspection and assessment support of US Naval Ships' fixed firefighting systems to include but not limited to : Halon, CO2, AFFF, Water Mist.

General Experience: (Desired) Ten (10) years' experience within the last 20 years in the operation, repair and maintenance of naval or marine propulsion machinery, electrical distribution or ordnance systems. Grinder 2Nd Shift
Position Purpose: To perform duties of rough grinding process or the finish grinding process of rods which may include troubleshooting, set up and general maintenance of machine.
Summary of Primary Duties:
The incumbent is responsible for a variety of straightforward, routine duties in the assigned department or work area related to the manufacture and assembly of product. The incumbent participates in the company's quality initiatives including, but not limited to: TS/ISO certification and maintenance of quality systems in place. The incumbent participates in the company's safety programs by ensuring a safe and clean working environment, timely reporting of any safety violations, timely reporting of any workplace incidents or injuries, and effective housekeeping.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
Removes raw rods from the screw machine and places into auto-feed hopper.
Sends ground rods to the plater or the production line, per work order specifications.
Performs routine quality checks on rods using test equipment ensuring minimal defects
Prepares SPC charts and other production records as needed
Operator will train on operating all the equipment on the rod grinding line. Will also train on the Thielenhaus and Surfina superfinishers. May need to move between the grinding and finishing machines as production requirements dictate.

Setups and operates centerless and side grinders, and vision inspection systems.
Performs visual and dimensional inspection at the grinding operation and utilizes any other measuring equipment as needed.
Reads routers, and production schedules for product specifications such as dimensions, tolerance, and number of parts to be processed and when.
Read special instructions as required. Records information for inspection and production using various forms, logs and computer systems.
Monitors product for product specifications using but not limited to the following types of inspection equipment, air gages, refractometer, micrometer, surface finish testers, digital indicators, scales, and visual aids.
Verifies equipment including but not limited to proper settings, feeds and speeds, temperatures, cycle times, pressure settings, air settings, switches, valve adjustments, feeds and speeds are in conformance to specification by using established standards.
Utilizes statistical data to determine conforming product. Analyzes and monitors scrap and nonconforming parts to aid in determining cause of failure.
Ability to start, shut down, setup and operate centerless and side grinders, vibro,cob dryers and inspection equipment.
Operates overhead hoists, and hand jacks. Loads and unloads various types of containers, which in include but are not limited to pans, bins, baskets and trays. Ability to drive forklifts and achieves certification to drive forklift.
Changes worn grinding wheels, mounts wheel on spindle, adjust blade height and angles as required, and dresses grinding wheels to specification.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow all safety rules and regulation while perform operations.
Troubleshoots and performs appropriate maintenance of the equipment by observation and general cleaning.
Over time is required as posted weekly, and may be mandated for this position.

The primary duties of the job are to conceptualize, assign, and produce photography; and to select and publish images for multiple platforms of The New York Times Magazine. Excellent news judgment, sophisticated visual taste, and a high comfort level with a fast-paced production environment are required.

The Tool Grinder sets up and operates various types of machines on the manufacturing floor of the BAE Systems York, PA site. Performs all types of grinding, honing and pre-set work to sharpen or repair all types of metal removal tooling for both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Receives instructions and work orders from Process Supervisor, Assistant Process Supervisor, Lead Person or Self-Directed Work Team.

Additionally, the CNC Machinist will:
1.Set-up and operation of miscellaneous computerized numerical control (CNC) and/or manual machines, including grinders, mills, lathes, drills, grinders, hone, lap, deburr, etc.
2.Machine and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications.
3.Maintain accurate and reliable documentation.
4.Participate in establishing manufacturing methods, including machine, test, material and tooling requirements, to ensure parts are machined according to engineering tolerances/specifications.
5.Perform inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are machined in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications. Visually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfaces.
6.Provide input and recommendations for selecting, installing, and adjusting CNC and manual machine cutting tools to ensure they are consistent with type and size of material being machined.
7.Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities from machined parts to ensure they are in accordance with engineering blueprints, and tolerance requirements.
8.Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.
9.Communicate change of shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate and reliable information and documentation.
10. Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated.
