Tool & Die Maker Journeyman
Plan and construct a wide variety of tools, dies, fixtures and gauges to very close tolerances, or construct more complex units where design is available.
Perform development work, layout and difficult tool room machine operations, fitting, timing and adjusting, e.g. combination dies for parts or irregular contour, box type drill jigs with difficult locating or nesting features, ordinary index milling fixtures.
Dismantles and repairs or replaces parts of damaged dies and fixtures, fits and assembles parts, and tests repaired dies for proper operation.
Operates cranes safely to remove and/or relocate dies to specific work stations/equipment.
Establishes and maintains an effective preventative maintenance program. Ensures all tools are properly fit for use.
Prepares sketches for machining of tool details.
Performs basic layout inspections of both tooling and manufactured components in press.
Must have all tools common to trade practice
Proficient in reading and working with blueprints.
Capable of working with varied ranges of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Proficient in workshop theory and calculation.
Overhead Crane Operation.
Ability to work with SPC.
Participates in ongoing Continuous Improvement processes.
Takes direction from Supervisor/Lead Hand, as applicable.
Protects own health and safety by working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures.
Maintains safety standard and cleanliness of workplace and equipment as outlined by company policy.

- Knowledge and understanding of the HIROTEC Die process and philosophy.
- Evaluate necessary changes to improve surface and dimensional issues of sheet metal panels as defined by stamping engineering.
- Utilization of various trouble shooting techniques of stamping dies including split, wrinkle, spring back and distortion and implementation of necessary corrective actions.
- Ability to communicate with internal die tryout team and internal engineering team on status including timing, quality, and progress of assigned dies.
- Work skills include general understanding of die construction, general die disassembly / assembly, check line dies in spotting press, flame harden dies, panel nesting, die static and dynamic checks, welding, grinding / stoning / polishing, surface check in press and under lights, spotting, Class A surface adjustment, die set into press, press operation including tonnage and cushion adjustment, press maintenance, read engineering change request, inner / outer pad bearing adjustment, and dimensional review in checking fixture.
The ideal candidate will have a one year certificate from college or technical school; or 6 months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of operating cranes and Hilo’s.

The Mozzarella Maker is responsible for making fresh mozzarella to the standards and specifications of Eataly. The Mozzarella Maker reports to the Salumi/Formaggi Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Cooks milk and specified ingredients to make mozzarella, according to standardized recipe
Tastes, smells, feels, and observes sample plug of cheese for quality
Records amounts of ingredients used, test results, and time cycles
Makes variations in time cycles and ingredients used as necessary for succeeding batches
Weighs, packages and labels mozzarella.
Customer service at the mozzarella counter
Adheres to all company and department procedures, policies, expectations and quality standards
Previous cheese making experience is required. Basic math skills are required

Roller Maker - Work Location Is In Sussex, WI

Quad/Graphics has an immediate openings to join our team as a Roller Maker in the CR/T division. Please note that his position will not be working out of the Hartford CR/T plant, but the Kingston location, located in Sussex, WI. As a Roller Maker, you will be involved in the rubber roller recovery process. This is a specialized process of refurbishing the many rubber rollers Quad operations utilizes. The hours of this position are M-F, from 8a-5p.m. with overtime as needed. We're willing to train the right individual for the job. Other duties include:
Receive in and schedule roller recovery orders for all Quad print plants
Remove bearings and inspect journal ends for defects
Strip rubber off old rollers using a stripping lathe
Build the rollers with the use of 3 roll builders utilizing rolls of raw rubber
Machine and Polish rollers with the use of grinding/polishing lathes
Finish rollers to press ready state – paint cores, package, install bearings
Ability to read blue prints and precision measuring devices – micrometer, tape measure, dial indicators.
The ability to perform basic math calculations is essential.
Willing to learn the operations of various lathes.
The successful candidate must be able to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Windows based software is strongly desired.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or greater is required.
Ability to drive fork trucks is required.
