Perform roving patrol of parking lot and facility
Serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions
Detect suspicious activities and watch for criminal acts or client rule infractions at or near assigned post which may be a threat to the property, client or employees at the site
Report all incidents, accidents and/or medical emergencies
Follows procedures to respond to emergencies and alarms, such as medical incident or bomb threats, or fire alarms or intrusion

Qualified applicants for the Professional Retail Security Officer position will meet the minimum requirements, as described below:

Description of Work

The Robeson Confinement in Response to Violation (CRV) Correctional Officer position is located at the Robeson CRV Modification Center in Lumberton, North Carolina. The position is responsible for the direct monitoring and supervision of the program offenders in the CRV Center and will work shifts to ensure 24 hour coverage.
This employee is a visible presence to the offenders. This position is responsible for assisting in the behavior modification process and procedures through role modeling, reinforcing learned skills and redirecting behavior when appropriate. The Robeson CRV Correctional Officer monitors and observes the offender's behavior and participation in programs and jobs.
Position will follow directives and reinforce program policies and procedures. The position will independently deal with behavior issues by redirecting the observed negative behavior to a more positive and pro-social behavior. Supervises the daily activities of the offenders to include but not limited to chores, mass movement of the population, conduct center orientation, collaborate with probation officers and service providers with programming delivery.
Position will conduct circulations of CRV Center and address any deficiencies, unsafe conditions or cleanliness issues. This position will ensure the offenders adhere to the center schedule, follow applicable policies and standard operating procedures and will verify and document offenders are in proper locations. This position will document offender interactions including but not limited to incident management, rewards, completion of documented tasks and consequences due to inappropriate behavior.
The position is responsible for monitoring individual and mass unit movements within the institution to ensure they are conducted in a safe, secure, and orderly manner. Movements include but are not limited to offenders reporting for meals, recreation activities, medical care, rehabilitative programs and services, vocational/academic training, visitation and privileges. The position will participate in team staffings.
Other duties of this position may include but are not limited to: attend recertification training annually and other in-service training as required to improve job skills, submit monthly statistical reports, attend staff meetings, assist in special events and other duties as assigned by supervising staff. This position description is not all-inclusive and supervisors may delegate and assign other duties to position as needed.

4th Floor (Surgical/Tele Unit) - Day/Night (7am-7pm/7pm-7am) rotation with mainly day shift or mainly night shift
(5th South/North PEDIATRICS) - Day/night rotation with weekend shift and call days. Every other weekend and call.
6th Floor Med-Surg w/6 Monitoring Rooms- Day/Night (7am-7pm/7pm-7am ) rotation with mainly day shift or mainly night and every other weekend included.
7TH fLOORSurg/Tele PulmonaryFloor Med/Surg. Cardiac Focus) - Day/Night (7am-7pm/7pm-7am ) rotation with mainly day shift or mainly night shift and every other weekend and call days
CDU/ Mainly Observation Unit (Known as Cardiac Care Unit, 24 hour observation Unit) - Day/night rotation or Night 7pm-7am Shift
Woodhaven (Short/Long-Term Facility) - Day/Evening Shift and Evening Shift (8 and 12 hour shifts)
Orientation for a New Grad is 6 to 13 weeks with preceptor and it is based on your area of interest.
