Principle Duties, Responsibilities, and Authority
Performs start-up and shutdown procedures for production line.
Reviews orders from a defined specification sheet or receives instructions from Supervisor to ensure that materials and specifications are correct.
Coordination of production activities in the plant to satisfy performance to schedule requirements.
Ensure all safety rules and regulations are strictly enforced and all general housekeeping practices are observed.
Assume full responsibilities for maintaining highest quality of all items produced or packaged.
Communicate with production manager, production supervisor, buyer/planner and lead persons from other shifts to ensure priorities of scheduled items are running according to the plan.
Ensure readiness of equipment and that set ups are ready and run when necessary including shift start up.
Responsible for operator and set up training on their shift.
Assist the production supervisor and/or production manager in resolution of teammate issues.
Exercise responsibility for special projects as assigned.
Performs other related duties as required.

Must be able to load raw materials, and use a chain hoist, tape measure, hand tools, shear, knives, heat shoe, bar sealer, razor blades and chopper and to perform the job functions safely.
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds and to stand, stoop, bend, reach.
Working Conditions: Time is spent on the factory floor in a factory environment. Personal safety equipment could include safety glasses, hearing protection, and possibly safety shoes. Building is temperature controlled but would be exposed to heat, cold, humidity, machine noises, and is in the proximity of moving machine parts.

Ensures all raw materials and operating supplies are available.
Develops and maintains operating procedures and ensures all SOP's are followed by the team.

Examines defects and scrap causes and takes appropriate corrective action to eliminate.

This position is primarily responsible for set up and operation of a press brake to bend metal parts/sheets to the desired dimensions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Summary: Helps Operator by performing manual tasks and movement of kiln cars and straightening of stacks of bricks. Inspect bricks before drying operation and replace as necessary. Operates machine and equipment in relief of operator.

The setup operator position sets up and operates the press break machine under supervision and direction of the Production Team Leader.
Essential Functions Include:
Performs typical machine shop and press operations.
