The Tool and Die Maker constructs and repairs jigs, fixtures, cutting tools, gauges, or metal dies or molds used in shaping or forming metal or nonmetallic material (e.g., plastic, plaster, rubber, glass). Work typically involves: planning and laying out work according to models, blueprints, drawings, or other written or oral specifications, understanding the working properties of common metals and alloys, selecting appropriate materials, tools, and processes required to complete task, making necessary shop computations, and setting up and operating various machine tools and related equipment. In general, the Tool and Die Maker's work requires rounded training in machine shop and tool room practice usually acquired through formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. Machine Tool Maintenance Supervisor
The individual in this role will lead this team of people in a fast paced and dynamic environment to ensure maintenance of machinery and systems supporting manufacturing that must meet contractual quality, cost, and delivery requirements by planning, organizing, and directing the flow of support to complete critical repairs and preventive maintenance. This individual will also be responsible for a safe work environment and will actively lead and engage in safety improvement projects. This role requires daily interaction with infrastructure teams in various value streams and sites to repair, maintain equipment and systems to meet organizational goals and objectives.
These groups include: manufacturing engineering, maintenance, production control, finance and the program management office. CNC Machine Shop Supervisor, Production Supervisor – Machine parts manufacturing firm seeks a CNC Machine Shop Production Supervisor to supervise up to 12 employees, and set up lathe machines. You will work the swing shift at their facility in Arlington, TX.
