Tank Shop Operator - 2Nd Shift
Eaton's Power Systems Division is currently seeking a Tank Shop Operator to join our team. This position is based at our Nacogdoches, TX facility.
The Tank Shop Operator sets up, adjusts, and operates various welding machines, presses shears, brakes, flangers and expanders. They will set up, tear down, and maintain equipment and fixtures; perform layout, tack weld, and other tasks that may be required in tank fabrication. The core hours for this position are on second shift.

You will perform work in some or all of the following work centers:
Bottom welder (includes perf. LVB holes)
Projection welder (includes perf. LVB holes)
Seam welder (includes flanging)
Layout (includes rod stack)
You will operate various welding equipment (rod stack) and machines, and utilizes various manual and powered hand tools.
You will manually handles material in the medium-heavy weight range.
You will operate hoist and other material handling equipment.
You will ensure compliance with all safety, housekeeping practices, company policies and procedures.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Familiar with manufacturing safety protocols and strive for quality

An essential function of this job is the ability to work a 6am-6pm shift.
Our Machine Operators in Cleanroom, Lap & Polish (CLP), perform finishing operations at Silfex for its electrodes and semiconductor parts prior to shipping. In lap & polish, our operators use precision equipment with an abrasive slurry to remove residual grind marks on the surface and polish to a specified finish. In the cleanroom, our operators run the parts through an ultrasonic cleaner using mechanical means to separate impurities and subsequently through wet benches that employ proprietary chemistry to achieve desired purity levels through chemical etching.

This position would require you to operate a group of production machines to achieve specified levels of quality and production standards. Maintain machines, including preventive maintenance, including disposal of swarf from waste tanks to assure a high standard of operating efficiency.
