• 2 years’ Machine operator experience
• Vocational or technical training preferred
• Must pass Machinists I test with 85% accuracy
• Proficient with basic machinist math skills
• Working knowledge of precision measuring tools and print reading required
• Working knowledge of basic troubleshooting for machining processes
• Understanding of 6S concepts preferred
• Must pass background check and drug screen

The machinist will utilize manual lathes, mills, and grinders to fabricate and repair various components reciprocating and rotating compressors. Ensure that all projects are completed safely, correctly and meet or surpass all customer expectations. The Machinist builds special tools and fixtures to support production lines and R&D projects.
Independently setting up and operating various model shop machines and related equipment.
Building new tools and fixtures as well as repairing existing ones per drawings, sketches, etc.
Building/modifying low-run production items as needed to support orders.
Building prototypes (dummy and working samples) of new products or modifying existing products.
Supporting engineers in choosing the right technological processes, appropriate materials, heat treatment, surface finishing, plating and coating, drawing tolerances, etc.
