The Coil Winder will set-up and operate winding machineto produce coils, of various size, to specifications called for on windingsheet, winding diagram and order pouch. Coil conductor configurations includestrip, round wire and rectangular wire in various combinations.

Youwill read and interpret winding specification documents to find characteristicsrequired for specific coil to be wound. Find coil number, quantity andrevision. Record coil number on coil and on labor recording paperwork.
Youwill install appropriate mandrel device on machine. Adjust mandrel, end platesand/or tail-stock as required by window size specification.
Youwill load strip, conductor and insulating paper to dereeling mechanisms onmachine. Measure materials, make adjustments to machine to accommodate materialand verify proper alignment.
Youwill place coil form on mandrel, wraps form/mandrel with paper and tapes tocoil form / mandrel.
Youwill apply pack out as needed per specification. Repeats for each section.
Youwill fold, insulate and tape weld pre-cut leads to strip stock of coil body. SupportWind major insulations, and applies varnish with hand applicator. Operate crimptool to crimp wire to static shield.

Current investigations include fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP), neurodegeneration, atherosclerosis, pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and immuno-oncology, among many others. Projects are always changing as new ideas and opportunities present themselves.
Collaborate with directors, research scientists and associates to review project portfolios, evaluate potential applications, and design appropriate MRI strategies or studies with appropriate quantitative endpoints
Serve as primary person responsible for experiment execution, including animal handling, MR operation, and data analysis, in conjunction with supervision of Imaging, Research, or CRO personnel as appropriate

All MRI Technologists project an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct and support the Radiology Department mission. Assist Engineer/Scientist/Manufacturing in all aspects of tape manufacturing and development to meet market needs. This involves producing product, samples per plan, product testing and characterization with minimal guidance.
Responsibilities Related to the Job:
Ability to work in a Cleanroom Environment.
Batch formulas, process into products, perform applicable tests, create lot records, communicate results and observations to the Teams and perform any necessary adjustments.
Perform laboratory work from development and scale up of processes through production for electronic packaging products as assigned.
Operate manual, pneumatic and automated equipment.
Become proficient in operation of appropriate manufacturing equipment and test instruments.
Upon training, be proficient following documented procedures to perform the following manufacturing operations: operation of ball mills, air pressure feed equipment, coating/casting machines to support binder & tape slurry, testing and handling of tape, as well as shaping, packing and production control technician duties.
Prepare finished goods for shipment.
Maintain and enter data accurately into multiple software programs to organize, analyze, and record work.
Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, manufacturing consumables, finished products.
Practice good housekeeping, organization, and safety in the laboratories.
Identify and use safety labels on product containers.
Understand and comply with all documented and documentation requirements.
Familiarize yourself with and practice documented quality system procedures and company policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
Strong ability to multitask in a continuous production environment.
Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-3 years' manufacturing experience preferably in a laboratory environment
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and expend up to 8 hours per day standing and walking in the lab, and have good hearing and vision.
Must be able to give short verbal reports of work.
Must function well in a team manufacturing environment.
Generally travel is not expected or required, but travel to customers or technical conference may occur as needed by the business.
Understands duties and responsibilities, knows products and use, keeps knowledge current.
Knows specialty equipment and test methods, follows standards.
Sense of Urgency: Prioritizes work to meet deadlines, raises issues early, and uses time productively.
Decision Making/Judgment: Systematically gathers data, communicates in a timely manner, seeks input as needed.
Uses computer to compile data and write short summaries.
