MRI Technologist II - Magnetic Resonance (Newport Beach, CA, US)
All MRI Technologists project an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct and support the Radiology Department mission. They participate in the continuous quality improvement process while maintaining a working knowledge and following all departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
This knowledge may include the use of specialized instrumentation and quality control requirements, as well as specific regulatory requirements of Title 22, California Licensing & Certification of Health Facilities and Title 17, California Radiation Control Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned that do not violate laws or regulations that require personnel with special licensure.
MRI Tech I: The MRI technologist I is a registered professional with a minimum of 1 year dedicated MRI experience.
Under the direction of the Technical Supervisor and Radiologist performs all MRI procedures with minimal supervision. The technologist evaluates the scans for technical quality and makes corrections to optimize the procedures. Call responsibility.
MRI Tech II: Includes all of the above and has a minimum of 3 years continuous MRI experience. Displays proficiency in advanced complicated exams and participates in research protocols.
Clinical Care: Ensure that quality patient care is delivered to all patients on a 24-hour basis, and the unit is maintained in accordance with professional and regulatory standards and the philosophy and goals of Hoag.

Education, Training and Experience
All MRI technologists must graduate from an AMA approved Radiological Technology program.
Skills or Other Qualifications
MRI Tech I:
Good interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of proper body mechanics, safety measures and infection control.
Ability to follow instructions and demonstrate clinical proficiency specific to age of population served. Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, gross pathology, medical terminology and radiologic patient positioning. Demonstrates competency and proficiency in all MRI examinations.
Must be proficient in the use of all MRI equipment, hospital information system (Affinity), the radiology information system (RIS) and PACS. Must document all equipment malfunctions appropriately. Performs service recovery as appropriate.
MRI Tech II:
Includes all of the above and demonstrates competency, proficiency and ability to assist in training in advanced procedures where applicable. Able to assist in the training of new personnel as required.

Electric Motor Winder - Lake City
Inspect various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions.
Test condition of windings according to EASA Standards.
Illustrate and/or document all relevant data specific to unit's electro-magnetic characteristics, operating conditions, existing damage or intended serviceability.
Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electro-mechanical equipment.
Prepare all reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions.
Rewind various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment, including but not limited to: single phase, three-phase, dc fields, armatures, wound rotors and transformers. Observe proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding.
Test rewound electro-mechanical equipment according to EASA Standards and document test results.
Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to: winding machines, test panels, surge testers, core-loss testers, cut-off saws, burnout ovens, back ovens, grinders, cranes, forklift trucks, brazing units, dip tanks, VPI systems and various hand-held power and non-power tools.
Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (especially eye, ear protection and steel toe shoes/boots, gloves, etc.)
Keep work area clean and organized.
Report all injuries, near misses and accidents immediately to a supervisor.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired.

1.Works from engineering drawings, specifications, design prints, and manufacturing practices.

Let's give you an idea of what type of Essential Functions we are talking about:
- Operate a fabric un-winder / winder machine -- that is right, you run it, you adjust it.
- Load and thread material off of an approximately 4ft. diameter x 2ft. roll into the machine's rollers for the unwinding process.
- The machine will rewind the fabric onto smaller cardboard cores making rolls approximately 5 inches x 2 ft.
- Your machine operator job ensures proper loading of the large roll and producing smaller rolls that are within specifications.

Insure any and all defects in the sheet are reported to the operator.
