Our Roll Shop Department is seeking to add a talented Maintenance Machinist to our facility in Newport. The purpose of this role is to safely, efficiently and effectively contribute to the overall operating process and provide quality product to our customers.

The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains tools and other equipment associated with installations; performs required routine preventative and predictive maintenance and other related work in Field services, Water and Wastewater Plant operations.

Maintenance Machinist A
Perform all necessary bench and machine operations to fabricate, rebuild or modify parts for the repair and/or rebuild of high precision manufacturing machines, machine tools, building, processes and plant related equipment. Work independently with lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses to facilitate part fabrication processes.
Work from sketches, drawings, specifications and measurements taken from broken and worn parts. Maintain tolerances on machined parts to ensure accuracy in machine operations. Select and secure proper equipment, tools, fixtures, and machine attachments to accomplish work in a safe, expeditious manner. Interface with customers to clarify requests and provide status.
This position requires frequent standing, occasional walking, handling and lifting of less than 20 pounds, rotation of head/neck, occasional contact with lubricants and metals.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Educational requirements due to accountability of production require completion of 10th grade. 2 Years of technical training and 3+ years related experience required.
Employee should possess the following skill sets and be able to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
Ability to use Basic and advanced hand tools (gear pullers, honing/lapping tools, precision levels, etc.)
Ability to use basic and advanced power tools (hydraulic power jacks, belt lacing machines, mag drills, etc.)
Ability to accurately use basic and moderately advanced measuring devices.

Machinist/Fabricator must be able to provide a collection of standard hand tools and measuring devices for daily use and a storage container to secure them.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks, to include but not limited to-machine lubrication, adjustments and alignments, part repairs, general safety and operational checks, etc.
Should be able to troubleshoot and repair complex manufacturing equipment with minimal instruction or supervision.
Fabricators and Machinists must be proficient in the operation of machining, welding, fabrication, and associated equipment. Must have a thorough knowledge of traditional machining and fabrication methods & practices, and be able to meet dimensional tolerance requirements as well as the demands of their specialized trade.
Machinist/Fabricators must have a good understanding of various metals and their properties and be able to make recommendations/selections based on a components application and load.
Ability to service or overhaul basic components (air/hydraulic cylinders, valve assemblies, hydraulic motors, pumps, etc.)
Experience in HVAC, compressed air, dust collection, and electrical distribution are pluses but are not required for a Machinist/Fabricator.
Should be able to work with minimal to no supervision.
Work safely in compliance with company and OSHA safety guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be highly motivated and understand the importance of meeting the demands of production quickly, safely and with a high degree of quality to minimize the impact of maintenance operations on manufacturing throughput. Must be able to learn basic computer skills, and must possess good mechanical skills and understanding. Must be able to stand for 8 or more hours and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Must be comfortable with working at heights over 30ft indoors or outdoors under conditions of high heat or extreme cold and wind. Must be team oriented and possess good communication skills. Will be responsible for carrying out instructions and reporting directly to the Maintenance Department Lead, Supervisor, or Manager as well as various Plant/Production Supervisors or the Plant Manager.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Will be required to work with minimal to no supervision, but will receive instructions and work requests from various maintenance and production leads, supervisors and managers.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR MATERIAL/PRODUCT: Must not be careless when performing maintenance or repair activities to prevent damage to equipment or product that could result in loss of production, defective products or missed shipments which could impact company profitability.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS: Regular contact with other employees, lead operators, staff members and contractors must be handled with discretion, diplomacy and a calm temperament to prevent conflict or misunderstandings. Ethical, professional conduct and clear concise communications skills are important.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: This type of work and the character of duties involve performing some repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions, working in confined spaces, at heights of over 30ft and in hot or cold and windy conditions. Some activities may require kneeling, stooping, climbing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting, or immobility for extended periods of time. Must have good hand eye coordination and mechanical aptitude. Normal or corrected hearing and vision are necessary. Lifting of weights exceeding 50 lbs is anticipated and may require assistance.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT: The technician is responsible for all tools and equipment used in the performance of their duties as well as the production equipment under their care. Machines and equipment must be returned to production in safe working order or locked out and placed into a safe condition to prevent use.
WORKING CONDITIONS/HAZARDS: Work in a high-volume manufacturing facility is inherently dangerous. Technician will be exposed to hazardous environments on a continual basis such as: confined spaces, fumes & dust particulate, lifting equipment, moving machinery, temperature extremes, extreme heights, open catwalks, stairs and ladders, falling and tripping hazards, pinch and crush hazards, sharp objects, loud noises, vibrations, and a production environment with ambient temperatures in excess of 95 degrees F. Will be exposed to equipment powered by 3 phase electricity, high pressure hydraulics, compressed air, steam, and mechanical motion elements. Carelessness could result in severe injury, to yourself and others.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES: Must adhere to general safety practices established by OSHA as well as all safety rules and regulations as specified in the Enduras Safety Manual and by the site safety manager. The crew member is responsible for participating in all assigned safety training. Other safety responsibilities include:
As a maintenance team member, alert other team members of unsafe actions and conditions. Promptly report safety violations or hazards to a Lead or Supervisor.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, harnesses, gloves, dust masks, and welding/grinding shields.
Adhere to rules, regulations and practices for proper lifting techniques.
Complete appropriate documentation, such as hot work permits and confined space entry permits.
Adhere to proper lock out/tag out procedures.
Be cautious and observant of machine pinch points and moving parts when working in potentially hazardous areas.
Failure to follow established safety procedures or guidances will result in disciplinary measures including suspension without pay up to termination.
Keep a clean organized work area. Follow established 5S guidances for the facility.
Return all tools to their correct storage area, cleaned and in good condition, report any damaged/missing tools.
Store fluids in a proper containers and storage receptacles with the correct labeling.
Contain and clean up spills, and dispose of contaminated materials appropriately.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This job includes other duties and responsibilities assigned by management. Regular and punctual attendance is an essential and necessary job function. Any area where the technician may be found to be deficient in their abilities will be dealt with on a case by case basis to correct or improve the technicians abilities through training or other means at the maintenance supervisor and/or maintenance managers discretion.

Purpose and Scope :
AECOM is seeking a Machinist for a full time position in Fort Campbell KY.
THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION.
Machinist must also do general maintenance to equipment, and cleanup to maintain the work area in an orderly condition.
Machinist is responsible for the proper care and use of machine, material and equipment, as well as following instructions. The design and automatic features of these machines permit the operation of more than one machine or subsequent operations. Checks proper sizes, fits, and finishes as required and record results. Machinist is responsible for the orderliness of working areas and the following of approved shop procedures. All calibrated measuring tools are furnished.
Must set up, locate, or manufacture fixtures and work-holding devices, load and unload work fixtures and devices. Employee may be required to adjust cutting tools as required to maintain dimensions due to tool wear and reground tools. Employee will assemble tools and fixtures as needed.
Machinist also performs precision boring of complicated fabricated machine tool parts, jigs, dies and fixtures, used in production and tooling for manufacturing and assembly. This work must be very accurate with very little or no tolerance allowed generally +0.0000 to
- 0.0005. Machinist should require a minimum of supervision. Must be able to make set-ups and grind tools.

Must have experience with Omax water jet programming, set up, operating, and maintenance.

- 5%- Learns process of maintaining machine maintenance files.
- 5%- Reworks productions parts and performs emergency rework and/or modification of production parts as directed.
- 10%- Performs in-process checks using measuring devices and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead person or supervisor.
- 5%- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- 5%- Trains other employees.
- 5%- Works on projects as part of a team, exchanging ideas and contributing skills that complement those of the other team members. Fulfills commitments to team members.
- 20%- Performs assembly, deburring, and other duties as required.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Manufacturing experience preferred
