ResponsibilitiesGeneral functions:Installation, service and repair of all HVAC equipment.Assist in training of entry level team members.Able to carry out assignments with minimum supervision.
Understand and follow all safety procedures.Operate and maintain all facility utility systems including steam, condensate, compressed air and cooling water equipment.Maintain service and repair roof top and indoor HVAC equipment.Operate facility steam boilers and perform routine testing and inspections including but not limited to water sampling, boiler blow downs, etc.…Operate facility air compressors and associated equipment to supply dry, oil free air to the facility.Perform breakdown and routine maintenance on utility system equipment such as boilers, air compressors, air dryers, condensate pumps, feed water pumps, chillers etc.…Have general knowledge of boiler room/facilities equipment such as boilers, pumps, de-aerator, control room, air compressors, chiller, dryers, pneumatic controls, valves & HVAC.Monitor water treatment plant operations daily.Monitor and operate condensate return system to ensure efficient operation.Lubricate utility equipment.Maintain a clean work environment.Report any findings out of the ordinary to Utility Department SupervisorPerform miscellaneous facility support activities as defined by the Utility Department Supervisor.Continuously monitor and obtain utility meter readings daily.Read & interpret documentation such as drawings, manuals and technical bulletins.Use electrical tester to safely check power, fuses, breakers and switches.Operate a forklift, scissor lift and jenny boom.Plan and organize individual work.Install service and repair all equipment in a timely manner.Have and maintain proper hand tools.Maintain good housekeeping throughout plant and shop.Mechanics are expected to work in a team environment, on 8 hour shifts plus OT & weekends/ holidays.Qualifications & CompetenciesSkill/

Maintenance Mechanic at WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center maintains and repairs mechanical and electrical equipment and systems; to include but not be limited to: pumps, motors, lamp ballasts, lamping, light to medium carpentry work, commercial door repairs, automatic door operators, light to medium sheetrock repairs, general plumbing repairs of valves, piping, and pneumatic control air systems and compressors. In addition, the Maintenance Mechanic will complete apprentice to journeyman's work and performs preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and systems.
Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Required Minimum Experience: Three plus (3+) years of experience in general mechanical maintenance and repairs.
Required Minimum Skills:
Have basic knowledge in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, some TV, some nurse call, some tube system, medical air, automatic and manual doors.
Should have good mechanical repair skills and light to medium electrical skills. Verifiable experience in trouble- shooting and repair of pumps, motors, pneumatic control air systems, light to medium plumbing repairs, commercial door repair, and installation and automatic door operator repairs.
Must have knowledge in light carpentry, sheet rock work and repairs.
Must have working knowledge of use of power tools, hand tools and diagnostic equipment related to the disciplines above. Must be able to read and follow blueprints, have a basic understanding of NFPA and Life Safety Codes applicable in a healthcare environment and be computer literate.
Performs scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and installation tasks on the physical plant, equipment and machinery, according to standards. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performs assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
Performs scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
Responds to and corrects equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdown.
Troubleshoots (when necessary). Repairs/replaces worn/defective parts, motors, control devices, etc.
Operates machine shop equipment and makes required parts when necessary.
Maintains cleanliness of work area.
Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as directed by supervision.
One or more years experience as Production Operator or Technician and/or formal training or experience. Experience in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning; Welding, Electronics, Electrical repairs, Industrial Equipment installations, alignment, start-up repairs, etc.
Associate Degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology and/or equivalent formal training and work experience.

JOB SUMMARY: Brown-Forman is hiring a mechanic to support and work in the Brown-Forman Distillery and Louisville Bottling Operation. The duties of Mechanic include, but are not limited to the following: Preparation, modification, maintenance of plant equipment. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift/push/pull up to 80 lbs; ability to perform range of mobility such as stooping, twisting, climbing, and hand assembly of items. Exposure to heat, cold, moving mechanical hazards; heights. Required to wear steel toed safety shoes (no exceptions); safety glasses/goggles, hair net/hat and earplugs.
The Qualified Mechanic will have demonstrated the necessary aptitude for the work by passing a non-verbal, non-written, task-oriented Selection-Evaluation Program to determine if he or she has the mechanical instinct to perform satisfactorily as an industrial or maintenance mechanic plus a minimum of 5 years experience. He or she will be able to complete for evaluation a skills demonstration exhibiting proficiency in the following areas:
Welding: Shielded metal, Arc (both vertical and overhead) Oxyacetylene; Heliarc, & Mig.
Machine Shop Equipment: Ability to operate a lathe, milling machine, and surface grinder to pre-described specifications as dictated by mechanical print.
Pipe Work: Ability to solder copper piping; thread and install black, brass, and stainless steel piping in a proficient manner. Familiarity with working on steam and condensate systems and piping.
Pumps: Experience and working knowledge of centrifugal, reciprocating and pneumatic pumps including replacement of bearings, diaphragms and mechanical seals, positive displacement, diaphragm.
Hydraulics: Have experience in and a good working knowledge of pumps, motors, valves and cylinders.
Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
Employee Involvement and Quality Principles: Knowledge of and experience working in a team environment; knowledge of quality system principles.
Packaging Line and Material Handling Equipment: Have experience in troubleshooting and repair of same under production conditions.
Forklift Equipment: Have experience and ability to perform preventive maintenance, repairs and adjustments to lift truck equipment. Ability to operate a forklift, man lifts, and other equipment.
Comfortable working in tight spaces and performing First Aid.
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic devices and systems (pumps, valves, piping, etc.)
Experience with machine shop equipment to include Mills, Lathes, Presses, and Surface Grinders to a prescribed specification as dictated by mechanical print
Experience with basic welding techniques and metal fabrication, including Mig, Tig, and Stick
Ability to prepare, modify, maintain plant equipment. Repair breakdowns, preventative maintenance on machines, and modify equipment.
Experience with threading and installing black and brass pipe in a proficient manner
Proficiency in use of personal computer
Ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated
Ability to perceive quality of work, read material and review documents; receive instructions
5 years experience as a mechanic/machinist working with process manufacturing equipment, strong education and work background in processing or manufacturing equipment troubleshooting, adjustment, repair and controls
Must be available to work overtime as necessary; must be able to work all shifts
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must pass drug & alcohol screening, Physical Abilities Test, and other testing as required; ability to lift and carry 80 pounds
Must appreciate and support stringent safety requirements including the use of Personal Protective Equipment, LOTO, etc.

The purpose of this position is to perform routine preventative maintenance on production machinery. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and quality related problems.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
Using tools and test equipment, troubleshoot and repair any problems to the machine, following all Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
Use tools to fabricate parts needed to repair machinery.
Troubleshoot servo drives, motors and encoders.
Set preventative maintenance schedule so as not to interfere with production when possible.
Operate forklift to move materials, machinery and/or parts to and from the cage and the production area
Keep work area neat and clean.
