Overview The maintenance and repair individual is responsible for repairing and troubleshooting mechanical problems with the manufacturing machines. This may include, but not be limited to replacing parts and/or motors on these machines. The majority of the lifting can be done using a lift, but there are situations where an individual may manually be required to do some lifting. It is estimated that some of the motors may weigh upwards of 75 lbs. and these may be handled by hand. Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Disassembles, partially or completely, machines or parts to replace or repair defective parts, finds a faulty circuit, ect. Gets equipment back into operation. Makes necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment, both single and three phase electrical motors, wiring, fuses, circuit breakers, coils, switches, and motor control starters, overload protection. Replace heat control equipment and thermocouple. Measures, cuts, bends, threads, and installs conduits through which wires are run to outlets, panels, and boxes. Adjusts controls and instruments. Constructs or otherwise fabricates parts pieces of equipment using the lathe, milling machine, welding equipment, and other available equipment. Assists in installation of new equipment.
Follows blueprints, lubrication charts, specifications and works with inspectors, engineers, and technicians
Carries out all work necessary to ensure smooth and continuous and operation of all production and related equipment and machinery.
Performs all jobs in a safe, orderly, and clean manner
Uses safety equipment at all times and performs general housekeeping of maintenance shop
Has knowledge of handling and disposal of hazardous waste material
Performs general shut-down and start-up of equipment during plant shutdown
Engages in Research and Development activities as required, either in direct support or direct supervision

Main Responsibilities "Maintenance Repairer (Electrical and Mechanical): This position is responsible for meeting machinery inspection, maintenance and repair requirements for assigned shift; includes the ongoing inspections and repair of all Mill machinery. Also provides mechanical and electrical technical assistance to install new machinery for Mill applications. 1.

Provides on-call emergency repair service for all areas of the mill. 3. Provides all mechanical applications to adapt and install new machinery for Mill operations. 4.
Applies trade specialty skills where applicable and may be required to provide maintenance support in the areas of sheet metal layout, fabrication, buildings and grounds, weights and scales, welding, pipefitting, and electrical troubleshooting (PLC, I/O, electronics, motors, instruments) and repair. 5. Ability to read, study and review manuals, schematics and drawings and relevant literature to stay current on new equipment and the updating of existing equipment. 6. Completes preventive maintenance and safety inspections and reports status of equipment.
Consults with immediate supervisor concerning issues, unusual problems or developments and clarification on direction and scope of efforts. 7. Follows all applicable policies and procedures, including Safety, Quality and GMP’s.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES 1- In addition to actually performing the work within an assigned organization, the Foreman will, using appropriate techniques of motivation, direct the work of employees in meeting safety and productivity goals ensuring the team and its members follow all work practices. 2- Coordinate with, and 'turnover' to, other Foremen and shifts the information they will need to continue safe and reliable operations. 3- Ensure that employees perform their duties in a manner consistent with a cognizance of customer awareness and concern. 4- Assist in the development of and execution of work schedules and tasks given to assigned employees are completed in a timely and efficient manner. 5- Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem solving capabilities when called for by exercising good judgment and decision-making skills. This applies to equipment assets and human assets. 6- Communicate in all directions in an efficient manner: with employees assigned, with other Foremen and with management when and as called upon to do so.
This includes ensuring the work team is aware of information from management, and that management is aware of the information it needs to make decisions in support of strategies and goals. 7- Develop assigned employees such that their skill sets on the job are increased. Coach new and existing employees in processes, procedures and practices. Make recommendations as to performance improvement both to assigned employees and to organizational management.
Participate in the Company's formal performance evaluation process of assigned employees. 8- Support the Company's core values and exhibit positive leadership behaviors. 9- Perform all activities qualified in lower classification positions as needed. 10- Perform all other duties as assigned. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS Minimum: 1- Associates Degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related field OR 2- HS Diploma with minimum of 18 months of trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology or related field 3- At least eight (8) years experience as a Technician in an appropriate area of plant operations, maintenance, fuels or I&C 4- Successfully complete the training requirements for the position including being 1st class qualified in discipline 5- Demonstrated leadership skills to include attention to safety (personal and environmental schedules, equipment and its efficient use, and the use of employees to get the job done 6- Effective communication skills in all directions 7- Ability to plan and organize work through scheduling and making appropriate assignments to best utilize available talent 8- Motivational skills that foster individual and team development and accomplishment 9- Full understanding and appreciation for procedures, policies, processes and practices 10- Ability to use the technology and equipment associated with both the Foreman Position and those positions assigned to the Foreman 11- Minimum performance rating of 'B' for the past two years 12- No discipline within the last 24 months 13- Satisfactory attendance record 14- Ability to work in a power plant environment that includes climbing, walking long distances, and standing for the majority of the time 15- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds IND-1 Position reports to Maintenance Supervisor The incumbent in this position must be able to communicate across all levels of the organization and display a willingness to perform in a supervisory capacity. Position Summary This position is responsible for the maintenance of the Plant’s electrical and electronic equipment and instruments. #CB1 ## Key Accountabilities
Test, install and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and instruments, fixtures and wiring.
Troublshoot, repair and analyze electrical and electronic equipment and instruments, fixtures and wiring.
At least 3 years of industrial experience (with AS degree preferred) * Considerable experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical systems in an industrial environment, * PLC experience
Knowledge of computers
High voltage experience is highly desired
Electrical license is desired
The candidate will be required to pass an electrical test prior to interview.
Strong work ethic and ability to work with little supervision.
Completion of required in house training program
Completion of required 10-month self study program
