Job Duties and Responsibilities
Dispatch all Inbound/Outbound finished goods and raw material to/from ECSC to MX and CSC plants.
Support finished goods with empty trailers and schedule carriers for finished goods pick up or for empty containers going to MX. Support Raw Materials with empty trailers for raw material shipments going to JMC and TDC.
Monitor and maintain assigned trailer inventory fleet pertaining to ECSC.
Issue daily inbound and outbound shipments, schedule and maintain accurate inventory of contents within storage trailers at ECSC and 3rd party trailer yard.
Communicate with MX Customs/Traffic, SEWS Logistics and ECSC Customs to confirm deliveries or pick up schedules required at ECSC. Issue daily reports and update white board for meeting review.
Control rental trailer pool between ECSC, MX, Trancy and SEWS EP assigned to ECSC fleet. Strong communication with MX Traffic/Custom staff for whereabouts of trailers and delivery status to ECSC.
Responsible for yard truck (maintenance, repair, plates) and spotting activities from dock to dock within ECSC yard in addition to ECSC yard cleanliness and organization.
Inventory of ECSC yard and 3rd party trailer holding facility are kept up with and reported on a daily basis. Provide directive to ECSC mule spotter for required Operations to include arrival, departure and priority for yard.
Daily meeting readiness with Planners and Management to discuss deliveries and shipment schedules. Support FG with Returnable Containers processing to external vendors.
Monitor CTPAT compliance within ECSC. Communicate with US Customs, ECSC Customs, Carriers, HR, Security and Logistics departments. Notify and implement changes as required to maintain CTPAT certification.
Follow up with material being loaded into trailers and creating ASN under (RMMS System) for shipments.
Other duties as needed.
HS Diploma or GED required
3 – 7 years' experience in Traffic and shipping, cartage and distribution (automotive preferred). Mexican Operations experience preferred
Proficient in computer skills: Word, Excel, Windows, Outlook, PowerPoint, Insource Audit/RMMS, IPS

Under general supervision, assists in the installation, maintenance or repair of traffic control devices and traffic signal systems and infrastructure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DECISION MAKING

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the daily engagements and oversight of BSC's freight audit and payment process. This requires the management of third party freight audit service providers which process and audit domestic and international freight invoices for the Global transportation network. The Schneider organization has an immediate need for a Warehouse Traffic Supervisor to provide frontline leadership to a team of general warehouse associates in a very fast paced, distribution and/or cross dock environment. The Warehouse Traffic Supervisor will have direct accountability for the daily operations of the Traffic/Yard department(s) within the warehouse facility. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the daily operations of a department/area. The position will supervise Traffic / Yard hourly associates. The Warehouse Supervisor actively and regularly communicates and interacts with peers in other areas to insure the fluid transition of workload from area to area. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise Traffic / Yard hourly associates
Train and evaluate hourly associates
Meet Key Performance Indicator metrics
Reconcile Yard Inventory.
Ensure that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed.
Oversee potentially a variety of warehouse activities including verifying, desk clerk functions, yard inventory, jockey truck activity, and other warehouse functions
Monitor and verify accuracy of time and attendance reports.
Study and analyze system work flows to ensure smooth and efficient flow

A basic knowledge of safety principles and philosophy
A four year college degree or equivalent work experience
Previous experience in a 3PL and/or retail distribution environment strongly preferred

Traffic Signal Supervisor
The Hampton Roads District is seeking a person for the position of Traffic Signal Supervisor. This person will ensure the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of regional traffic signal system assets including but not limited to; traffic signal controller assemblies to include ATC and NEMA controllers, conflict monitors, Cabinet Monitoring Units, load switches, high density switch packs, transfer relays various rack and shelf mounted detectors and serial interface units Supervise technicians in the maintenance and repair of traffic signal assets.
Provide technical assistance and guidance in troubleshooting, inspecting, evaluating and resolving traffic signal operational issues. Collaborate with technical and engineering staff to facilitate operation and maintenance of the regional transportation network. Supervise consultants and contractors providing support and services to the traffic signal operations department.
Build, maintain and operate region wide traffic signal /ITS network.
Ensure team members are trained and proficient in new traffic signal control equipment in the statewide Central Signal System. Provide feedback on new controllers, firmware and high speed communications network.
Ensure compliance with established safety standards, VDOT policies and procedures, and electrical equipment operational standards. Uses available data to analyze timing plans and detect trends in traffic flow in an effort to provide optimized timing plans for isolated and coordinated intersections.
Oversight: Assigns work plans to field technicians and contractors to implement work plans.
Supervise field staff and monitor contractors performing maintenance and repair of traffic signals and their communication networks. Maintain records and prepare reports. Supervise and verify consultant work performing operations and maintenance support.
Coordinate the installation and repair of new and relocated traffic signal assets. Supervise implementation of preventive maintenance program for traffic signals, their related ancillary equipment and associated communication networks.
Budgets and Operational Plans: Assist with development of operational plans, budgets and expenditure documentation for regional transportation management systems to include traffic signals and communications.
Assist in development of disaster recovery plans. Implement and maintain emergency response plan.
Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders concerning operations and problems with traffic signal systems.
Other Specific Responsibilities ? Manages traffic signal stock location at Bartlett Signal Shop. Manages purchase of traffic signal and high speed network supplies for all signal repair activities.
In rotation for Traffic Signals After Hours On Call Schedule. This recruitment may be used to fill additional positions.
IMSA Traffic Signal Level I and II Certification Required. Experience in the maintenance and repair of traffic signals and associated networking systems to include a variety of signal and communication devices.
Demonstrated experience supervising staff and plan, coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments and competing priorities. Thorough understanding of traffic signal, and communications equipment. Thorough knowledge of traffic management systems, including timing plans, graphic design and computer use.
Ability to work at heights and in heavy traffic conditions. Demonstrated experience communicating technical information orally and in writing. Demonstrated experience maintaining detailed and accurate records.
Experience applying federal and state regulations and standards related to traffic signal maintenance and operations. Valid CDL license or able to obtain within six (6) months of hire. Education - High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience or training may substitute for education.
Experience in VDOT standards and specifications related to traffic signal construction and inspection. Knowledge of IP network schema, networking, Linux based traffic signal controller programming and fiber optic cable installation and maintenance. Knowledge of VDOT procurement and inventory management guidelines.
