Provides comprehensive rehabilitation therapy assessment and treatment interventions for adult psychiatric inpatients in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Plans, develops, and implements individual and group therapy sessions for adult inpatients.
Primary responsibilities include: conducting group and individual therapy with patients; maintaining accurate and up-to-date charting; maintaining supplies and organizing inventory, supporting community and donor relations; and supervising interns and volunteers.
Provides patient and/or family education regarding independent living skills, including self-care, socialization, leisure and coping skills. Provides specialized clinical groups and interventions including music, drama, art therapy as well as dual diagnosis/substance abuse, pain management. Executes formal assessments of functional life skills using the Kohlman Evaluation of Living Skills (KELS).

Expressive Arts Therapist
Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a newly opened (July, 2018) 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.

As a member of the clinical team in the department of Psychiatry, the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Therapist is responsible for the design, development and implementation of group and individual psychotherapy, the provision of therapeutic and recreational activities, and the maintenance of a therapeutic milieu for psychiatric in-patients or for outpatient clients within the Continuing Day Treatment Program.

Master's degree in a psychiatric rehabilitation discipline (i.e. Creative Arts Therapy, Social Work, Counseling) required

Interpret blue prints, set-up, build and inspect or maintain parts in the tool room environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Proficient at operating tool room manual machines to specified tolerances.
Produces prototype and sample products. Required knowledge of steels, stresses, and materials.
Ability to see and compare slight differences in shape, size, etc., of objects.
Responsible for good housekeeping of work area and equipment.
Responsible for reporting any indications of needed maintenance.
Must be able to use precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, etc.)

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D. Completed technical school courses inmachining preferred.
Certified Journeyman Machinist preferred. Requiresuse of advanced shop math, complicated drawings, and a wide variety of precision measuring instruments. Over 1year of experience with certificate from approved Technical school or 3 – 5 years experience operating manual machines without certificate or may be direct hire from our facility.
Requires the use of considerable judgment to plan, layout, and perform work of an unusual and difficult nature where only general methods
and trade practices are available. Machining operations of complex parts where considerable study is required to determine the best sequence of operations, to select the machines and tools to perform the operations or to modify existing tools and equipment to do the job.

SUMMARY Under minimal supervision, sets up and operates manually controlled machines in skilled precision and bench work in the fabrication, maintenance, repair and alteration of machinery, machine parts, tools and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply.)
Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
Reads and interprets CAD drawings, blueprints and instruction manuals.
Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
Uses precision tools, machinery and equipment such as lathe, vertical lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, horizontal mill, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, push and pull broaches and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.
Fabricates and shapes parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal, plastics and composites
Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines
Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling
Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend change or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to setup and production
Ability to document precision quality repairs in our current reporting software
Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
