Plate Making And Mounting
To gather all required tooling needed to mount flexographic plates and screens for the printing presses according to the press schedule and press needs. Then mount the required plates, screens onto the tooling and then place onto the staging cart for transportation to the press.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Review daily press schedule to mount all plate-screen related needs for upcoming orders.
Retrieve all tooling required to mount the orders from the storage racks and place on the cart. Some extension and twisting is required to load cylinders on cart. Some plate cylinders weigh up 75 pounds.
Lift cylinder off of cart and load on to the plate mounter. Once plate is mounted lift off the plate mounter and place onto transportation cart.
Inspect quality of completed plates and screens.
Seam and mount any rotary screens that are required for the order. Weight of rotary screen is 5 pounds.
Backup Plate Making if needed.
Clean all machines on a regular schedule.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Order weekly supplies.
Keep entire plate-screen room clean.
Dispose of hazardous waste into labeled drums for hazardous waste disposal.

This job description is to outline the role, responsibilities, general tasks and functions of the Cereal Filler on what they do in their daily operations.
The responsibilities of this position include:
Cereal Filler primary job functions are to retrieve cereal and other dry ingredients, accurately weigh, mix, and record dry ingredient and lot codes. Keep Multipond full and running during production. Keep mixing area and staging air lock clean and clear of debris, and aid the operator in the cleaning and clearing of waste. Ensure proper chemical concentrations are achieved by completing titration checks and documenting appropriately
At the end of any production run the cereal fillers are responsible for the "end of production" process and accounting for the amount of product loss during this process and the flush. General housekeeping is involved as in taking the remaining trash out, emptying the star bins, the label scrap bins and the scrap cutter trash. Roll up and put away any used and unused raw materials and wrap them with plastic so they don't get dirty and place them in the staging area for dry ware house to return to inventory. Request new supplies for the upcoming production order
During the CIP process, the cereal filler is to help with the Cleaning and sanitation process in the filler and multipond room
Other duties as assigned

Responsible for reading and understanding job orders. Confirm understanding of all job specs and ensure there are no discrepancies in job documents.
Manage the liquid plate making process, including reading and understanding production order forms, material types and associated exposure times, location of plates, and complete COA forms.
Ensure production back logs do not occur. Correctly manage your time between Exposure units, processors, and dryer/LF/PX units. Understand the correct workflows so that you can help everyone to be more productive.
Reference and adhere to quality control SOP's. Perform all quality control tasks to ensure quality standards are met. Report any quality issues or concerns to management immediately.
Track start and end times of production through MySGS One to ensure proper billing.
Assist shift Plate Finishers with tasks as needed, including monitoring and processing plates on Reclaim, Washout, Rinse, Dryer, Post Exposure and Light Finishing units.

Operate filling machines and fill units (drums, pails & bottles) with finished and/or liquid raw materials. Pick up all empty drums, pails, bottles and cartons as required for production run on fillers.
Formula for success: You will…
Pull empty wheeler by hand to drum storage area, load proper units onto wheeler and return to department
Adjust and set weights on filler machines and scales to ensure correct fill and weight of units
Connect hoses to kettle and equipment being used; involved opening valves necessary for operation, turning on pump, adjusting valves to ensure that spear is open and adjusting valve to coincide to flow of material being drawn
Weigh empty units; operate machine and fill units with liquid; check weight filled unit to determine accurate weight and make any necessary adjustments to account for under or overweight containers
Lay pallets in place, cap seal, stencil and label units and place onto pallets ready for pickup
Make all necessary adjustments to machine for different size and weight containers; involves adjusting valve for best fill to avoid splashing, overflow and waste
Wash machine after completing each batch; periodically clean filler machine
Maintain record of number of units filled on batch sheets; initial worksheets and give to foreman upon completion
Keep work areas clean and perform any related work function assigned
Always use a yellow wash drum for initial wash of kettle

The Manual Machinist is a setup machine position. This position builds the machinist's skills and knowledge to efficiently perform and maintain the manufacturing processes manual turning machines to produce precision aerospace components.

Job Description: Position provides both electrical and mechanical maintenance, corrective maintenance, fabrication, assembly and installation activities for the Plate Mill Maintenance Department. The primary focus for this position maintains all Plate Mill manufacturing and support systems in an operational and safe condition.
