The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, picking and distributing material and products within establishment.
Essential Job Duties
Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Transports materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, or other stock items and distributes items to production areas.
Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets.

Practices and adheres to appropriate safety and hygiene guidelines/procedures for safe housekeeping and personal protection.
Keeps work area clean and removes trash from work area floor.
Stores supplies in designated areas.
Keeps work area aisles/exits clear and free from obstructions.
Follows instructions for safe lifting/carrying of various sizes, shapes, and weights; identifies/reports defective equipment.
Reports all job-related injuries to supervision.
Takes photos of incoming or outgoing load and log items and pictures for documentation.
Uses computer to enter records.
Where applicable, climbs and works at the heights of material tanks.
May climb on top or into tank trailers to check seals and take samples.
May prepare and takes a cycle count inventory of all merchandise; records counts on cycle count sheets.
Mandatory overtime may be required.
Supports and participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives including 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain).
May perform other duties as required.

In this role you will be responsible for supervising the direct receipt, warehousing, and distribution of thousands of highly specialized electronic parts and systems. Material Planning Supervisor
The Material Planning Supervisor is responsible for all Supply Chain strategic and tactical activities required to ensure on time delivery to customer commitments, and operations & inventory optimization. They will monitor and maintain flow, and control of materials for all production programs in their area(s), which will include the direct supervision or planners or production control team members. Develop a finite production schedule, in Costpoint, that drives to achieve atleast four inventory turns.
Monitor the Sales order and forecast order backlog, and optimize capacity, and financial resources. Understand any limitations on sales orders for partial shipments, interdependencies with other production lines, credit issues, DPAS ratings, etc.
Work with Operations, Procurement, Financial analysts and program management to ensure alignment to finite schedule, and Operations is producing to schedule. Process schedule change requests as required.
Work directly with Program Managers to lead Supply Chain portion of program meetings.
Work directly with Operations, Purchasing, Accounting, Receiving, Quality, and Stockroom to maintain flow of material.

Review and approve ECO's for new components releases and revision changes. Disposition stock, WIP, and open orders as specified.
Review bill of material for structure, accuracy, and planning parameters to ensure they are set up appropriately.
Establish and maintain a Plan for Every Part (Master Data)
Review and action excess and shortage reports with Purchasing.
Monitor weekly shipments, track all required deliverables are on track to get to packaging as scheduled, mitigate issues to ensure production lines are achieving 100% on time delivery.
Facilitate kick off meetings as required for material management of new programs.
Review new sales orders on a daily basis and ensure all orders are entered and driving material accurately.
Ensures we are shipping against the proper sales orders to meet production commitments.
Identify critical material deliveries and ensure program requirements are prioritized though the supply chain as well as internal efforts (i.e.: Receiving, Inspection and Stockroom).
Provide training and assist in understanding MRP driven requirements.
Manage the cycle count process on programs, including creating cycle count sheets, entering data, and reconciling variances.
Process Scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP and Stockroom.
Directly supervise individual contributors
Administer and execute policies, processes, and procedures.
Hire, train, set responsibilities, establish standard work, and supervise supply chain personnel on your team and/or in the plant.

Minimum 7 years' experience in material/production planning.

Bachelors degree in supply chain, operations or related area, and/or APICS certification, or 15 years related functional experience
Must possess good organizational skills, the ability to work well with others, good decision making skills, and the ability to think outside the box.
Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed analysis (what happened) and present summary root cause (why it occurred), and improvement plans (How to fix it)
Thorough knowledge of MRP systems, supplier lead times, and production cycle times.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including two bin systems, 5S, and other problem solving techniques.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Previous experience and knowledge in Material Planning required.

Under supervision of department Manager, the Material Operations Supervisor is responsible for day to day floor supervision of a team that receives, processes and delivers goods, freight, personal packages and mail to Center locations both on and off the main campus. Additional responsibilities include performing inventories, managing files and record storage duties and asset disposition as necessary.
This position requires comprehensive knowledge of every job in the rotation, accuracy, attention to detail, good driving skills, knowledge of all hardware and software used in the department, and a consistently high level of customer service. Additionally, the Supervisor will exhibit excellent problem solving, technological and communication skills with the team, other Material departments and customers.
Ensure all departmental staff adhere to Center and Departmental norms. This individual operates as a primary point of contact for the department in the manager's absence as well as oversight of training in the Department.Knowledge of and adherence to department procedures, product handling/storage guidelines, proper chain of custody for all product and confidentiality guidelines are essential.
As assigned, open and/or close the department daily following established departmental procedures. Working with assigned team members, audit operations checklists and report issues to manager for resolution.
Direct and assist team members as needed to ensure efficient operation and completion of tasks throughout the job rotation. Identify training opportunities and assign trainers to develop job skills to ensure the success of team members. Develop and maintain the department schedule and manage the work order/RTV process. Under the manager's direction monitor performance of team members and daily operation of the department and report on any issues or opportunities for improvement
Receive and process goods from vendors following established departmental procedures. Assist Purchasing and customers in resolving delivery issues using PeopleSoft and Vuetura inventory/tracking histories as well as FedEx and UPS websites.
Oversee the capital equipment asset management workflow. Audit receipts to ensure correct attribution.
Conduct asset inventories as required. Manage disposition through the surplus stream and partner with other Materiels department and Finance to ensure that all asset activity is correctly accounted for in PeopleSoft.
Manage the Records Storage database and requests to ensure timely and accurate service for customers. Keep the records storage facilities and warehouse in good order.
Operate hand trucks, carts, vehicles, handheld scanners, computers, faxes, printers, powered and non-powered pallet jacks, table lifts, forklifts and vehicles. Position requires frequent lifting of items up to 50lbs, and occasional lifting of items up to 100lbs.
Position requires frequent bending, stooping, reaching, walking and lifting. Work area includes enclosed offices, loading docks, vehicles, and outdoor parking areas
High School diploma, GED or the equivalent.
Four years of related experience in material handling, shipping, receiving or delivery, with prior leadership experience.
A background working in an environment that practices electronic record keeping using standard business software tools such as Oracle/PeopleSoft/Outlook/FedEx, including experience specifically with Excel.
Valid Washington State driver's license, forklift experience and ability to meet Center's driving requirements.
Previous experience with handheld scanners/barcode scanning.
Excellent customer service, problem solving and communication skills.
Ability to lift and move 50lbs on a regular basis and occasional lifting of items up to 100lbs
