As a Road Technician with MH Equipment, you will report to the Service Manager, travel to customer locations, diagnose problems with customer-owned forklifts and other MH Equipment products and make repair recommendations. You will give repair quotes, create lists of parts required for repairs and coordinate those lists with the main office to ensure that the necessary parts are ordered in a timely manner. You will then perform only those repairs specifically requested by the customers and ensure that they understand the situation and are satisfied with the condition of their forklifts and products. Road Technician – Industrial Forklift Mechanic Job Responsibilities As a Road Technician with MH Equipment, you will manage your inventory to ensure that you know when parts need to be replenished. You will accurately account for all paid labor hours, for all parts used in repairs and for van parts inventory. You will submit complete documentation for all work in a timely manner, maintain the cleanliness of all forklifts, products, tools and customer facilities and keep your provided service van clean and well serviced at all times. Additional responsibilities of the Road Technician include:
Provide industry leading customer satisfaction. Communicate with customers, vendors, and other employees.
Diagnose repairs for lift trucks, equipment, and other identified products, using a laptop computer, experience, manuals, and other industry sources.
Assess the need for additional repairs or maintenance, and communicate findings and potential solutions with supervisor and customer.
Perform repairs on lift trucks, equipment, and other identified products as communicated by the supervisor and customer.
Make repairs accurately and timely with minimum required call-backs or re-work.
Perform warranty repairs and complete related documents as instructed by the company and the supervisor.
Keep supervisor advised of job progress, delays, changes, status, etc.
Thoroughly and neatly document information related to the job and your work.
Submit documentation in a timely manner, as required by the company, supervisor, and customers.
Accurately account for drive and labor hours on daily timecard and submit daily.
Accurately account for all parts, supplies, and van inventory on work order tickets, PM sheets, etc.
Provide the parts, service, and sales departments the needed information to provide the right solutions for the job.
Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tools, van, customer facilities, and shop.
Keep the service van clean, neat, and well-maintained at all times.
Maintain company tools in working order and return them to the shop after use.
Keep up-to-date with new equipment and advances in diagnostic techniques and repairs.
Adhere to all Company Policies and Work Rules. Road Technician – Industrial Forklift Mechanic Job Requirements As a Road Technician with MH Equipment, you must possess a positive attitude, superb verbal and written communication skills and great customer service skills. You must be able to communicate well over the phone, work successfully in a team environment and complete neat and timely paperwork. You must have a strong work ethic and sense of integrity, the desire to serve others and an eye for detail and accuracy. Additional requirements for the Road Technician include:
A technical background is required.
Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, fuel systems, charging systems are a plus.
Must have own tools.
Must have communication skills and be able to complete accurate paperwork.
Must have computer skills or the aptitude and willingness to learn how to use a computer and software.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of a service technician.
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Must have a good attitude and be able to successfully work in a team environment.
This position may be an apprentice or journeyman position, depending upon qualifications of applicants.
Steel toed work boots are mandatory.

Maintains, repairs, and modifies industrial machinery

Change grinding or cutting blades and/or bits

Job Description • Keeps machinery and mechanical equipment of the plant in good repair. Examines machinery and mechanical equipment for defects, and faulty parts, while in operation or by other methods based on his/her mechanical knowledge.
Dismantles or partially dismantles machinery and mechanical equipment and removes and repairs or replaces defective part, assembles machinery and mechanical equipment and makes necessary adjustment to assure efficient operation. Assist other crafts in performance of their duties. Perform all work within the craft. • Constructs and repairs all kinds of metal parts, tools and machines. Must understand blue prints, written specifications.
Must be familiar with the working properties of such metals as: aluminum, brass, cast or wrought iron and various tolerances. • Furnishes own hand tools up to twentyfive millimeter. • Performs PM’s including hoists and hanging hook type hoists up to ½ ton rating, plant tooling, calibration equipment, major equipment PM’s, and others. • Coupling alignment for rotating equipment. Work may be performed in the mold repair area or at the cure site of the mold involved. Includes: connecting tubing & hoses directly associated with mold, connecting actuating devices, such as cylinders, applying insulation, assembly and preparation of new molds for production, cleaning molds and changing diaphragms. Work from prints, sketches, and/or drawings when required.
Does not include electrical repair work. • Repairs & installs pumps (mechanical seals): Gear pumps, horizontal split case pumps, vertical turbine pumps and large air only pumps. • Perform all functions necessary to produce a quality product. Perform miscellaneous duties at supervisor’s request. Responsible for accurate records, data, quality and quantity of production.
Maintain clean, neat and orderly condition of tools, equipment and immediate working area. • Use polycarbonate for guards – plexiglass or substitute. • Adjusts feeds from oil cups or reservoirs so that proper amount reaches moving parts. • Keep sumps or wells for lubricating systems filled with oil. • Applies special grease to machines to prevent rusting when being shipped. • Lubricates in routine manner, with oil or grease, all moving parts or wearing surfaces of all equipment in the plant. In this role, you will perform a combination of duties to construct, install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain plant equipment and facilities. Prior experience working in facility maintenance is preferred. Proven skills relating to electrical construction with the ability to read schematics, mechanical trades, forklift/conveyor repair experience is a plus.
Prior experience performing duties associated with Siemens or Allen Bradley Programmable Controllers or other relative PLC's is desirable but not required. Additional experience with other crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry and welding will contribute to a well-rounded candidate. Candidates must have a minimum of two years relevant experience, possess basic PC skills and be physically capable of performing heavy lifting.
