We are currently looking for a dynamic individual as a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor for our Performance Products Division located at our manufacturing plant in Conroe, Texas.
As Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead the installation, repair, trouble-shooting, and preventative maintenance of mechanical task for the facility. This position will assign and review the work of craftsmen to assure conformance with established methods, policies, and procedures. This position requires knowledge of mechanical repair methods, principles , practices, tools, and equipment of the maintenance trades. The Mechanical Maintenance supervisor will assist with set goals for the department, measure teams performance, track and report on teams productivity and manpower requirements. and provide technical guidance as required.
What will be expected from you?
Coordinates with planning and scheduling to assign crafts to priority work assignments, setting expectations, and directing the work of assigned employees. Evaluates and verifies employee performance by visiting work sites and reviewing work progress and completions to assure repairs are handled efficiently and safely
Supervise the Huntsman mechanical maintenance group and warehouse personnel
Provide work direction for the contract maintenance workforce (nested and outside) ensuring that task are safely completed in a timely manner in accordance with their contract
Identifies staff development needs and ensures craftsmen are provided the support and training they need
Maintain records, prepare reports, manage work orders, and compose correspondence related to the work. Coordinate and deliver daily planning board meetings
Promotes safety and environmental compliance. Assure the crafts have all necessary equipment and knowledge to perform the task they are assigned
Coordinate all non-scheduled / emergency work. Responding after hours as needed
Familiar with equipment to diagnose mechanical problems such as vibration analysis tools, oil analysis, thermal imaging, etc
Audit all work to assure that task are completed in compliance with code or related standards

Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor
The Pennsylvania Chemical Plant will be a world-scale petrochemical plant in Western Pennsylvania that upgrades locally-produced ethane from Marcellus and Utica shale formations gas production to make polyethylene. The petrochemical complex will consist of a world-scale Ethane Cracker Unit (ECU), multiple polyethylene (PE) units, PE logistics and supporting OSBL (utilities, general facilities, storage, and hydrocarbon logistics). The FID (Final Investment Decision) was made in Q2 2016 and the project is now in Execute Phase. As construction of the site progresses, the site is now growing to support Commissioning and Start-Up activities and prepare for full operation in the early 2020s.
The Site is located in the Pittsburgh, PA area (Monaca, PA). Not only are we building a world-class asset, we're building a world-class asset organization. This position is critical to the mission of team, and this will promise to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The position will initially report to the Maintenance Manager until the Area Maintenance Team Lead/Supervisors are hired. The Maintenance Team is within a combined department consisting of: Engineering, Maintenance, Projects and Turnarounds.
The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor – East (Polyethylene Plant) is responsible for all of the field execution work in the new asset. The role will be responsible for supervising approximately (7) Maintenance Technicians. Primary interfaces include: OMC's (Operations Maintenance Coordinator), Proactive and Reactive Planners, Schedulers, Shift Team Leaders (STL's), and other MTL's (Maintenance Team Leads).
The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for helping the Team deliver Industry Leading Maintenance results (HSE, Cost, Schedule and Quality) consistent with agreed upon business premises, execution strategies, and technical assurance requirements.
The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible prior to commissioning and start up to: hire his/her maintenance staff that have the both the skills and culture fit desired, support getting contracts in place, have the work processes in place including ways of working with OMC developed, have training and competency assessment of staff and crafts complete. The Maintenance Supervisor will be key in designing and implementing a lean maintenance and defect elimination process as part of start-up and commissioning.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

This position is responsible for managing the unplanned work orders; generating job plans including labor, material, equipment, and services; creating job packets for field execution, and continually improving job plans via updates based upon work execution feedback. Understand and adhere to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures, confined space procedures and all other plant safety/good manufacturing practices (GMP) requirements related to supporting machinery uptime.
Possess essential personal tools needed to support mechanical ability.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Technical degree/trade certification and 3+ years equivalent work experience or a total of 6+ years equivalent work experience is required.
Associate's degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Industrial Maintenance/Technology.
Successful completion of Mars Apprenticeship Program or Co-op.
Possess a fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings in order to solve problems in a timely manner.
Ability to troubleshoot ac/dc electrical components including motor starters, switches and sensors found on all assigned equipment using basic test equipment such as multi-meters and amp probes.
Ability to troubleshoot basic pneumatic and mechanical drive systems at the component level on all assigned equipment; i.e. sorting systems and palletizing robots.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs and to conduct multi-task work in a very fast paced work environment
Willingness to develop required technical skills in welding, basic machinist and fabrication/layout skill sets.
Possess an advanced understanding of ac/dc electrical (up to 480 volt 3 phase), hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings in order to solve problems in a timely manner.
Technical/ Trade certification in: welding, advanced machinist skills, fabrication and blueprint interpretation.
Possess PLC/ Instrumentation troubleshooting skills.
Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.).
Frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).
Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment.

We are currently seeking an Operations and Maintenance Engineer Manager to provide technical management of site systems including maintenance, repairs and inspections of assigned areas. Delivery of maintenance projects for new and modified facilities. Analysis of operations data to identify, develop and implement continuous improvement resulting in increased quality and lower operating costs.
Primary responsibility is to provide technical management of all facility systems which include: central plant, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical distribution, fire safety, potable water, wastewater, mechanical, plumbing, building automation systems, building envelope systems, lighting systems and other repair and maintenance tasks associated with the operation of a commercial industrial property.

Preparation of budgets for engineering operations projects
Provide contract compliance management and quality control
Understands the engineering design and operational aspects of building systems and equipment.
Manage operations, maintenance and capital improvements of all Life Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC systems.
Evaluate in conjunction with Engineering Manager and System Owners the existing preventive maintenance scheduling intervals and work to maintain, update and improve the operational efficiency of the CMMS system.
Analyze operational data for trends/opportunities to improve maintenance both planned and reactive resulting in optimum value.
Monitor/analyze site utility spend and usage to identify and implement utility reduction initiatives.
Coordinate activities of vendors and contractors
Maintain client relationship and conflict resolution
BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Strong technical knowledge of building systems, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, etc.
Applicable codes, laws and regulations
10+ years of experience in management of facility engineering.
Managerial experience required.
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Computer proficiency in MS Excel, and Word
