Press Operator Metal Stamping
- Performs typical progressive die and press operations
- Setup and remove tooling
- Observe press in operation and make adjustments to control rate of production
- Monitoring equipment/tooling during production stamping to ensure it is working properly. i.e. watching gages, dials, etc.
- Quality inspections during production runs
- The use of micrometers, calipers, etc. to inspect/measure/visually inspect parts to ensure they conform to specifications
- Includes making minor repairs/maintenance such as oiling and cleaning up around the press when complete
- Communicating clearly and concisely with the supervisor, other production personnel and quality personnel when a problem arises
- Accurately complete a job routing ticket, data chart, time sheet etc.
- Maintain and accurate count of parts
- Assist in setting up steel coil on larger presses
- Possible second shift during peak production periods or as needed
- Extended period of standing while operating press and running production
- Follow all prescribed safety regulations i.e. PPE (safety glasses/hearing protection) etc.
- Safely handle scrap during and after production run
- Keep are clean and organized in a 5S manner
- May assist in training of other employees as required
- When applicable, use computers for data entry in MRP or spreadsheet in a specified and appropriate manner
- The employee is exposed to high noise levels from operating machine
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Potential hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to cutting and drawing oils
- The employee is required to stand, walk, pull and bend to the floor

Sheet Metal - Press Brake Operator
Ability to read and apply work instructions, follow directions, understand and execute safety and quality procedures.
Must be flexible to work in another departments when requested.
Must be able to work overtime when requested.
Must be able to speak, read and write English.
Manufacturing experience in assembly and / or CNC machine operation preferred.
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Metal Stamping Press Line Tech (2Nd And 3Rd Shifts)
REQUIREMENTS:High School graduate or equivalent. Must pass set-up test.
Must pass entry level,level I and level II skill evaluations. Must pass Level II within 18 months. Must maintain skill level to stay in position.
Will be required to wear hearing protection. Must not have an active written corrective action. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Must be able to pass vision test.BASIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete die changes by obtaining die from rack, gathering necessary tools and completing the change as instructed by work instructions; to include material changes. Complete required paperwork (ex.
Die trouble report, production report, etc. ) Assist other set-up operators during slow periods. Report die problems or questionable conditions to the department coordinator or supervisor. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision. Operate fork lift to move materials/scrap in and out of the metal stamping area.Monitor assigned Stamping machines and perform required inspections. Tape,label and complete final boxing of finished goods and place on skid for QAapproval.
Complete required paperwork (ex. Press Line Check Sheet, OperatorCheck Sheet, Production Reports, ect.) Report defective materials or questionableconditions to the department Press Line Technician /coordinator/supervisor.Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and followprescribed safety regulations.

Metal Stamping Press Supervisor
This position will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities in the Stamping, and Annealing Departments for the manufacturing of stator and rotor laminations.
1.Establish Safe Operating Procedures appropriate for a Stamping and Heat Treating Operation. Insure adequate Safety Training is provided, enforce Safety Rules and Policies.
2.Support and Administer the Plant's 5S and Continuous Improvement Efforts.
3.Lead initiatives to improve the Quality and Cost position of the operation.
4.Guide, motivate and direct associates working in the Stamping and Annealing Departments.
5.Plan workforce requirements and establish production priorities to ensure product delivery requirements are met.
6.Coordinate with Internal Supplier and Customer Departments to schedule production.
7.Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, and Best Management Practices. Ensure appropriate training is effectively given to all associates.
8.Insure products and processes conform to specifications and direct adjustments of processes, dies and machinery to meet specifications and improve capabilities.
Bachelor's degree from four year college or university preferred.
Two to three years experience required to include time spent as a Supervisor to become familiar with products, methods, and techniques.
Requires the ability to read and understand principles with complex drawings; use of precision measuring instruments and PC to input data; interpretation requires advanced skills knowledge.
Must be able to handle numerous responsibilities at once, must be able to listen to and address any problems that may arise.
Use of a PC.

Through the use of detailed work instructions, completes a variety of intricate processes (such as bond layup, vacuum bagging, autoclave setup and deflash) using a variety of skills.
- use computer software programs to document completed tasks
- draw on their mechanical aptitude and previous manufacturing experience while working
- use a variety of hand/power tools to remove unwanted material (composite, epoxy, etc.) and get the part into specification
- move around (walk, bend, reach, lift, kneel, sit), and then stand and focus on an important task, sometimes for quite a while

Responsibilities of Bonding Operator:
Follow step by step work instructions throughout the bonding process using a variety of computer systems.
Inspect all work in accordance with work instructions and shop procedures.
Perform all prescribed preventative maintenance on applicable equipment.
Electronically record part parameters using measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
Experience & Skills needed for Bonding Operator:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior experience or education in manufacturing
Basic mechanical aptitude
Good written and verbal communication skills
The Bonding Operator is responsible to successfully operate all equipment and perform all tasks associated with the bonding process, including kitting, bond layup, vacuum bagging, autoclave set up, surface prep and de-flash.

Uses Kewaunee's scheduling system paperwork to identify parts scheduled to run, operations, and standard hours.
Set up and operate manual N.C. and C.N.C. controlled forming and fabrications equipment.
NC/CNC controlled sheet metal fabricating equipment experience Windows NT and Windows 7 experience.
Requires frequent change overs and set ups to maximize production flexibility.
Read blueprints and detailed layout drawings to within 1/1000th of an inch.
Maintain tolerances within .010 of an inch.
Proficient in using measuring tools i.e.; dial calibers, micrometers, and tape measures.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machine and accessories.
Safety procedures to be followed at all times.
