Assist in removal and disposal of old equipment and trash at job sites
Assist techs, as needed at job sites
Perform general maintenance duties to ensure a clean and safe facility
Ensures the correct parts/materials are pulled for delivery
Prepares and coordinates shipments and returns warranty items to different vendors
Signs out parts and equipment
Must be able to measure and inspect items for proper length, width and shape

CNC Sheet Metal Fabricator 2Nd & 3Rd Shift (20180423)
BASIC FUNCTION
To adjust and operate computer numerically controlled machines relating to sheet metal fabrication which could include lasers and press brakes.
To perform program editing and occasional programming of laser when appropriate.
To program and run CNC press brake.
To utilize and operate proper material handling equipment.
To operate any auxiliary machines as assigned.
Responsible for own set-ups and inspection of parts produced.
Parts must be made to print and process specifications.
Responsible for all safety rules, operator preventive maintenance, producing quality workmanship, and for good housekeeping in and around the work area.
Completion of all associated paperwork and record keeping as required.
EDUCATION/TRADE KNOWLEDGE
High school diploma or equivalent.
Core skills training in basic shop math, measuring tools and blueprint reading or demonstrated equivalent knowledge is required.
Additional required courses include: Progressional CNC training, Sheet Metal I, II and III or demonstrated equivalent knowledge.
Completion of PMA Press Brake Operator training will be required upon entry to the classification or equivalent demonstrated knowledge.
EXPERIENCE
Three or more years proven sheet metal experience.
Experience or demonstrated abilities in basic machining.
Experience or applicable technical training in tool and die, or demonstrated abilities.

Metal Fabricator Production Team Lead
Responsibilities Every day, in nearly 100 countries around the world, millions of people depend on Daktronics scoring and display systems for information and entertainment. They also enhance spectators' experiences at sporting events of all kinds, from Little League to the major leagues. This position is in the Sioux Falls Mfg department. The shift for this position is Monday through Wednesday 6:00pm to 6:00am. This position involves performing Metal Fabrication Operator duties such as filling in/working on the machines as needed (Punch, Press Breaks, Mill, Inserter, Sander) in addition to Team Lead responsibilities listed below.
Be safety conscious at all times and ensure safety during shift.
Take production plan developed by the Plant Manager and/or Supervisor and develop an action plan to achieve established throughput and quality.
Effectively communicate work progress and constraints to following shift(s).
Assist in determining staffing, equipment, and facility needs based on projected workload requirements.
Provide effective employee relations and leadership to include
Teach new employees how to perform operational/functional tasks and new operations to current employees.
Along with the supervisor, evaluate employee performance, communicate expectations, measure performance, and assist in their growth.
Train new and/or current employees in blueprint reading, following all metal procedures for punching, sanding, bending, inserting, troubleshooting, and quality reporting.
Communicate expectations to and measure the performance of metal fab team/operators.
Foster teamwork and self-improvement through effective communication with employees. Establish the relationship between quality work customer service and customer satisfaction.
Monitor employee/crew attendance and performance; report to supervisor/manager on a daily basis.
Work with supervisor, process engineers/technicians, and/or designers to improve procedures and processes to reduce scrap and rework.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate new quality process production techniques. Assist in writing operating procedures and equipment procedures.
Assist in evaluating quality issues discovered during production and/or discovered during field installation.

Insulates and assembles product for delivery
Identifies and calculates amount of materials, thickness, size, etc., required for product
Completes usage forms and logs completed orders
Sets up and operates all machinery and hand tools needed to complete product
Forms all shapes and sizes of sheet metal as per drawings or work instructions
Changes dies and performs basic machine maintenance as required
Verifies dimensions of work piece
