Sheet Metal Mechanic Specialist
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The repair, fabrication, modification, and installation of sheet metal parts, items, and assemblies. Sheet metal mechanic work requires knowledge of the physical properties and working characteristics of sheet metal, knowledge of tools and equipment required in the sheet metal trade, and knowledge of shop mathematics and principles

Eaton's Fuel & Motion Control Systems Division is currently seeking a Metal Treatment Operator Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Euclid, OH facility.
The Metal Treatment Operator will set up and operate various burring, cleaning and blasting machines to generate rough and finish dimensions on a variety of parts. Additionally, they will perform operations such as nitride, heat treat, buff and blast. The Operator will also perform hand operations required to burr, polish, finish, and blend surfaces on machined parts. This role performs visual and dimensional inspections and maintain accurate documentation on a variety of parts in accordance with ANSI Y14-5 and the Certified Operator program. The core hours for this positon are on 2nd shift.

You will load parts in heat treat basket, load furnaces, operate furnaces, monitor gages, unload furnaces, and perform hardness test.
You will perform buff, dry blast, degrease and oiling operations on hardware.
You will set up, operate, monitor, read, interpret, and maintain furnace, atmosphere generation, and quench equipment controls and instruments such as timers, temperature control and monitoring recorder charts, flow scopes, pressure gages, various dial gages. Instruments may be analog or digital (programmable microprocessor) based. Readouts may be scaler (dial or chart) or digital.
You will set up and operate all equipment with a minimum of assistance, be familiar with work procedures involved with nitride, heat treating, and buffing operations. Frequent changes in set-up and maintenance of close tolerance require constant attention.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate lot control (QCP 6.0) traceability, record keeping, log book entries, NCR's (QCP 11.0) and associated documentation.
You will mount and accurately align various jig and fixtures, select speeds, and feeds. Load and align tooling working from engineering layouts. Adjust stops and cams to produce finish dimensions to close tolerances. Utilize in process gaging such as indicator arrangements, travel dials, etc., to ensure accurate size control.
You will be able to understand moderately complicated blueprints. Completed work is checked with a variety of mechanical and electronic gages such as datamyte, electronic bore and O.D. gages, micrometers, indicators, comparators, and various other precision gaging devices.
