About the job:
Serves as a steam plant fire tender in the steam plant at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center.
A day in the life:
Operates heavy equipment such as dump trucks, front-end loaders, elevators, and conveyors to maintain a steady supply of coal to the boilers;
Measures and records amount of coal supplied to each boiler;
Utilizes ash pulling equipment to remove waste ash from the boilers;
Assists shift operator in monitoring gauges and equipment to ensure conditions are normal, operating within appropriate safety standards, and ensuring maximum efficiency; Performs minor maintenance on coal and ash handing equipment and assists in periodic overhauls, cleaning, major repairs; and installation and repair of steam lines;
Cleans boilers, equipment and areas of plant as assigned;
Performs grounds maintenance of the training site to include mowing and snow removal;
Assists in building maintenance throughout the training site to include minor and emergency repairs of plumbing, electrical, etc
What we are looking for:
One (1) year experience in the maintenance or operation of high-pressure boilers OR heavy equipment.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must have a valid Indiana Driver's License.

Job OverviewUnder general supervision and guidance from Automation Team Leads, Shift Supervisors, and Technicians the Automation Machine Tender supports the operation of the Automation equipment. The machine tender is responsible to start and stop the equipment and tend to routine equipment alarms and faults. The Automation Machine Tender is very aware of safety procedures and strictly adheres to all safety, manufacturing, Quality and Continuous Improvement policies and procedures. Since then, we have become a recognized industry leader in thin-wall die castings while also serving more traditional die casting applications. Employees are required to maintain molten metal supply in the melt room and holding furnaces at the die cast machines safely and efficiently to support the production requirements and to assure the proper alloy is provided for the parts being cast.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Keep the holding furnaces on the die cast machines full of proper alloy of metal and at proper temperatures. This process, called hauling metal, must be done in a safe, efficient, and timely manner as to keep production running at all times while minimizing costly mistakes such as overfilling furnaces, overfilling ladles, spilling metal, letting furnaces run too low on metal, mixing alloys, etc.
Keep transfer (bull) ladles properly cleaned and heated.
Keep scrap hoppers emptied and identified.
Daily chipping, cleaning, fluxing, and skimming of breakdown furnaces. This also includes Striko Holding Furnaces.
Keep alloys separated. This applies to all metal including that which is stored, in any furnace, or in scrap form.
Cold clean and repair of breakdown furnaces. This includes jackhammering, cleaning, forming, ramming, casting, painting, etc.
Charge metal to breakdown furnaces in such a way as to keep them full of the proper alloy metal and at the proper temperatures. Metal is charged in form of sows, ingots, castings, and ingredients.
Routine and proper cleaning of all die cast holding furnaces.
On Striko Furnaces clean fill funnels and pouring spouts. Coat as needed.
Keep area around furnace clean.
Perform alloy changes in any furnace properly.
Run spectrometer including cleaning, profile, standardization, and routine analysis.
Properly handle all department paperwork including labor cards, production sheets, check sheets, metal hauling sheets, barcodes, audit logs, furnace cleaning sheets, scrap cards, flux/dross cards, etc.
Properly handle paperwork, sampling, and barcoding of all incoming metal/materials.
Daily inspection paperwork and safe driving of forklifts.
Keep all melt rooms and work areas clean as well as tools/supplies neat and organized and put in proper locations.
Work in a safe manner and report unsafe conditions/hazards immediately.
Wear required personal protective equipment.
Capable and willing to work overtime.
Participate in training programs deemed necessary by the company.
Perform other associated duties, functions, or work as needed or assigned to continue the productive operation of the company.

Has a minimum level II competency of SAP or related MRP system and uses said knowledge effectively, making sure that all information required for order entry and quote preparation is entered accurate and timely
Can support colleagues to answer technical product, application and SAP related questions to assist in completion of daily tasks
Ensures orders are entered into SAP with correct information including correct amount, billing details, required documentation, end destination, market segment, and all the other fields that are required for order processing and data collection
Responsible for compiling complex tender and order documents, working with internal and external resources to coordinating information and ensure customer specifications are thoroughly reviewed and subsequent quotations/orders are completed in accordance with customer specifications, documenting and relaying any required deviations
Communicates proactively with sales personnel, customers, distributors, and end users to understand and meet customer's requirements for the quotes/proposals that are produced. This may include but is not limited to such communication as missing requirements, requesting additional information, providing cost/margin calculations to TFMC sales, lead times, etc.
Develops and maintains a professional relationship and acts as a key contact for assigned customer
Prepares BCQ forms, and quotation approval documents ensuring the correct authorization and signature workflow is respected, and keeps them in the individual order and proposal records
Follows all applicable company policies and procedures.
B.S. in related field Degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Engineering/ Technology or other technical field or equivalent commercial experience.
Experience in related functions like applications, inside sales, engineering, project management or manufacturing (in oil and gas industry preferred).
Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes and exposure to cost accounting principles in order to understand key cost drivers for assigned product lines.
Detail oriented, analytical with ability to determine customer applications needs. Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and SAP Business System (or experience with other ERP system).
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills (technical writing skills is a plus).
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a changing, fast-paced work environment.

Possesses a strong level of telephone etiquette. Demonstrates knowledge of cannabis products and strains to include Sativa, Indica and Hybrids. Provides recommendations regarding appropriate usage and dosage based on method of consumption.
Updates management regularly on customer buying patterns and interactions. Demonstrates an understanding of regulatory compliance and upholds all policies and procedures unique to the industry. Actively promotes spectacular customer service and aides in creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Promotes a professional demeanor in all interactions and transactions. Responds to guest's questions regarding flowers, strains, creams, oils, waxes, concentrates, edibles, tinctures, vape/e-pens. Stocks product.
Actively identifies areas for cost savings. Responsible to maintain a safe environment for guests and colleagues. All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid State of Washington Driver's License.
Experience and/or education in the cannabis industry to include store product knowledge. High school diploma or GED, required.
