Job Description & Requirements
The Receiver is responsible for pumping incoming raw milk or cream from tank trucks into storage tanks, document and record volume into inventory. High Responsibility - with quality and efficiency being the major concern.
Pump incoming milk from tank trucks to storage tank, and compute and record volume of milk received.
Weigh loaded truck on platform scale and records weight on log sheet.
Dip and pour sample of milk from vent hole of truck into bottle for laboratory analysis.
Take temperature of milk, and record data and temperature reading.
May perform antibiotic and other laboratory tests as required.
Transfer milk to tank, read milk-flow meter, and record volume pumped on record sheet.
Wash and sanitize interior and exterior of tank.
Weigh empty truck and record weight.
Compute difference between loaded and unloaded weights of truck to verify accuracy of meter.
Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's.
Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot.
Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area. Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Raw Milk Tester
The Tester is responsible for the testing milk from tanker trucks, washing and sanitizing tankers trucks, silos and receiving lines, and to aid in the manufacturing of all company products in a safe and sanitary work environment.

Sanitizes all unloading equipment prior to its use.

Responsible for the procurement of all necessary samples, in accordance with the Quality Assurance Program, and state or federal regulatory agencies, prior to the actual unloading of the product.
Responsible for the washing of all pumps, piping and equipment used while performing the unloading or loading process during the shift, and maintaining the entire receiving area in a clean and orderly manner while in compliance with quality assurance policies.
Frequently check flow of product, pumps, lines and tanks to ensure minimum loss of product and report any irregularities to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Assist pharmacist in the maintenance of the inpatient pharmacy’s drug distribution system, with a focus on quality and accuracy, patient care, and customer service. Under supervision of a pharmacist, and consistent with state, federal and local regulations, prepare medication orders for final check by pharmacist. This includes, but is not limited to, processing orders through pharmacy computer system, identification of patient in hospital, entering patient information into computer system, and physically preparing drug product (doses) for pharmacist’s review/final check prior to delivery to patient care areas.
Typical Duties: Prepares medication orders with oversight of pharmacist – correctly determines the number of doses to be sent, accurately obtains pre-made medications, and acts as a liaison for the pharmacist in obtaining medications from ancillary areas.
Fills unit dose carts per computer generated patient profiles and automated medication dispensing equipment. Routinely deliver and exchange 24-hour supply medication carts. Ensures medications are delivered to patient care areas in a timely manner; via pneumatic tubes, cart delivery, or hand carrying.
Modifies filled carts by adding or deleting medications from patient drawers. Performs monthly nursing unit inspections for quality assurance and communicate any immediate problems to a supervisor for correction. Monitors inventory levels.
