This position is located at the Henderson Mill site off of CO-9 between Kremmling, CO and Silverthorne, CO. This is a rural, alpine area approximately 2 hours from the Denver metropolitan area. The mill is at an altitude of approximately 10,000 feet. In the winter the average high temperature is 28 degrees and the average low is 0 degrees. In the summer the average high temperature is 75 degrees and the average low is 40 degrees. The average snowfall in Summit/Grand counties is in excess of 250 inches per year.
Semi-skilled employee who under direct supervision safely assist with maintenance and repair of equipment and processes in the Milling plant including mills, conveyors, screens and like systems.
Assist Mechanics with maintenance activities on Crushers, overlaying conveyor systems, ball mills, auto mills, screen decks, lube systems, compressors, filter drums, hydraulic filter presses, foundry pumps and lubrication systems
Assist with and performs preventative maintenance activities on Mill equipment
Complete Work Orders and other maintenance documentation
Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks
May operate mobile equipment
Perform other duties as required

Operator II (Mill) – Mount Vernon, IN
This is a full-time, hourly level position.
The plant processes wheat into flour and feed products. The process operates continuously and is staffed seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day.
Entry level/training position leading to mill operator I (candidate must be willing and able to advance within the milling department)
Perform operational duties in an industrial, wheat processing facility
Set-up, adjust, and monitor various processing machinery
Continuously assess operating conditions and make process adjustments as needed to keep critical product specifications
Monitor and control HACCP points

Flour milling is a skilled field requiring the operator to possess knowledge, skill, and troubleshooting expertise. The incumbent is responsible for a variety of straightforward, routine duties in the assigned department or work area related to the manufacture and assembly of product. Coordinates activities in accordance with daily production schedule.
Sets up or assists in setting up of rolling mill dies and material, testing and adjusting guides, fixtures and other aspects of work station, until it is production ready.
Conducts test runs and measurements to ensure pieces and parts produced meet required specifications.

Inspects parts according to Quality Control Inspection Instructions, including use of S.P.C.
Completes production sheet at end of run and/or end of shift. Re-sets counter to zero.
Monitors machine and ensure only good quality parts are produced, as per established standard.
Reports any abnormalities of parts or machine to the Supervisor or Leadhand immediately. Suggests corrective action where applicable.
Maintains work area and machine in a clean, tidy and safe manner. Co-operates with Safety Committee and adheres to all plant safety and housekeeping rules and policies, including wearing of Personal Protective Equipment.

Understand departmental SOPs and assist with writing new SOPs, when it is deemed necessary
Inspect Mill production equipment within area of responsibility
After undertaking the appropriate training, complete various permits like Confined Space and Lock Out/Tag Out and any other permits assigned by supervisor
Assist in scheduling of maintenance repairs
Monitors gauges, samples and data recorders; and receives notification from, supervisor, or other assigned personnel to make specified operating adjustments
Observe gauges, and instruments, turns valves, and moves controls to regulate temperatures, pressures, and flow of steam, coolant, and chemical constituents through system to effect prescribed reaction within critical limits, according to knowledge of equipment and process
Complete curriculum and on-the-job trainings to obtain knowledge and skills to perform the Operator job competently
Must be open to change and varying work environments
Perform preventative maintenance by greasing and maintaining proper oil levels of stationary and mobile equipment as well as conveyor systems as directed
Actively participate in site safety programs
Recognize, report and eliminate/mitigate all hazards in found in the work area
Assist in the maintaining of process equipment by performing Operations Driven Reliability tasks such as checking and maintaining fluid levels, inspecting equipment and initiating repair work by utilizing existing maintenance programs
Participate in refuse collection and disposal as well as site recycling programs
Operate production processes remotely using computers equipped with Process Logic Control Software as needed
Responsible for performing accurate and thorough documented work area inspections in compliance with MSHA Regulations
Participate/Attend Safety meetings and scheduled trainings
Communicate with the Shift Supervisor, in a timely manner, concerning any abnormal situations or conditions in areas of responsibility
Communicate with Maintenance or Electricians to perform Energy Isolation and permitting of equipment at the jobsite when maintenance or repairs are required
Communicate with relief in a manner that honestly and accurately describes issues and conditions that will be encountered by your relief
What you will bring:
High school diploma or equivalent is required
National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) testing is required for all hourly applicants of Nutrien-Aurora and must be uploaded along with your resume during the application process to be considered for employment with Nutrien-Aurora. Applicants must complete this test and meet a minimum of 5 in Graphic Literacy, 5 on Applied Mathematics and 4 on Workplace Documents in order to be considered eligible for employment with Nutrien.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is preferred
Must maintain a current NC Driver's License
Incumbent must pass a pre-employment exam and drug screening

Other duties may be assigned
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 6+ months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a working knowledge of mixing, operating grain roller mill, pellet mill, dairy line, receiving system, grinding machinery, block press and lift truck
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal
Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position.
