Feed Mill Utility (2Nd Shift)
This position is responsible for operating machinery and maintaining a product flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
This position is responsible to assist in all aspects of the feed mill during designated working hours (approx. 45 hours per week). Receiving of ingredients into the feed mill including weighing, sampling, testing and documenting deliveries. Learn the feed making process and assist operations when needed.
Assist with finished feed loadout as necessary. Accurately perform or assist in performing physical inventories on a variety of commodities. Assist maintenance when necessary to trouble shoot repairs, determine first contact for help, while following all FDA USDA guidelines and regulations.
Assist in clean up duties as necessary. Applicant must be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised. Must be able to read and understand manuals.
Must have good math skills along with basic computer skills. Emphasis on Excel, Word while executing and documenting work completed. Strong written and oral communications skills.
A Class A CDL is preferred but not required. Must be able to bend, climb, twist, lift and able to work in all environments of the feed mill facility. Applicant will maintain 98% attendance, adhere to all safety policies and perform other duties as necessary and as assigned by department lead and or management.

The Mill Mechanic performs various maintenance procedures including installation of equipment, troubleshooting, piping and tubing, use of oxy/acetylene torch for cutting and heating and stick welding carbon or stainless steel. The position of Mill Operator is required to operate and maintain the horizontal processing mills used in the manufacturing of architectural and industrial colorants. The Mill Operator position exists to ensure products are processed to meet customer specifications, in doing so, equipment has to be cleaned, maintained and monitored by the operator.
