A successful Rubber Manufacturing Design Engineer will be motivated to improve existing processes and find new methods to produce quality parts.
- Improve part quality through process evaluation and improvement
- Document molding processes
- Work with production team to run process development trials of new materials and part designs
- Support production to troubleshoot molding problems on the fly
- Work with tooling department on pre-production design reviews
- Evaluate new equipment and improvements to existing equipment to improve part quality
- Experience designing, verifying, and improving rubber molding processes
- Ability to troubleshoot molding by adjusting machine parameters or advising tooling changes to improve yields and quality
- Experience injection molding organic and silicone rubber materials
- Basic understanding of different cure systems and compound types and how they influence the molding process
- Able to use lab test data to inform molding process
- Experience with mold flow modeling required
- Experience with thermoplastic molding a plus
You must be ITAR compliant: either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien.

The Press Operator is responsible for the safe, quality and efficient production in operation. The individual will be responsible for set up and operation of forming equipment and for proper record keeping of operations.
Essential Job duties:
*Set up and operate injection-molding machine to cast products from thermoplastic materials Keep work areas organized and clean.
*Set machine controls, regulating molding temperature, volume of plastic, molding pressure and time, according to knowledge of plastics and molding procedures.
*Actively participate in meetings for quality and operation improvement.
*Comply and adhere to all company policies and procedures
*Comply and adhere to all legal and company safety procedures
* Other work-related duties as assigned

As a Rubber Products Specialist at Applied Industrial Technologies, you will use your strong customer service and heavyweight conveyor belt technical skills to train, implement, and execute rubber products marketing programs. You'll spend time interacting with our team of Account Managers and their customers to determine their rubber products / conveyor needs and then help to meet that need. You will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, retention, and sales results!
Your territory and sphere of influence includes the Gulf Coast - Corpus Christi, Houston, over to the New Orleans area.
Coordinate heavyweight conveyor belt /rubber product initiatives with various Service Centers and Regional Managers
Make rubber product / conveyor belt presentations to both internal associates and customers
Conduct training for both internal associates and customers
Make joint sales calls with the field sales staff
Assist in the development of rubber product / conveyor belt data collection; interchange information, case histories, documented value-added benefits, and application data
Partner in setting and meeting/exceeding - sales target goals and execution
Participate in installations and repairs
3+ years of proven technical heavyweight conveyor belt sales and service experience OR belt service, fabrication, installation experience
Use of proper English grammar, written and verbal
Ability to read / understand technical drawings
Work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Able to pass background check, drug test & DOT physical. Must be at least 21 yrs old
HS Diploma or equivalent
Training or presentation experience, a plus
Work independently and as part of a team
Listening, negotiating, and effective questioning skills
Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and system
Ability / desire to travel 6-8 nights/month

1. Assists in manufacturing and producing products and goods using automated assembly equipment as directed or explained in related work instructions.
Performs gaging and documentation where applicable. 2. Operates assigned automated equipment including but not limited to supplying the machine with components, unjamming the machine, and packing completed parts 3. Places identification into each container of parts or finished goods unless alternate method has been established 4.
Stops process, isolates suspect material and alerts mechanic, quality assurance, or supervision if problem is found 5. Cleans assigned machine and work area 6. Moves any defective parts or assemblies to specified scrap containers
