The Bulleit brand is undergoing significant growth and this is a key role in ensuring we continue to deliver high quality whiskey to meet consumer demands. The role requires:
Control and monitoring of distillery processes and related activities.
Target monitoring relating to health and safety, distillate quality, production efficiency, energy management, production planning and cost efficiency.
Full compliance with all regulatory requirements and Diageo procedures relating to site risk, TTB and environmental constraints.
Flexibility to adapt to different shift working practices and patterns.
Both team and individual working that requires effective decision-making and problem solving skills as well as an ability to use initiative to adapt pre-set work plans.
Use of automated production recording and management reporting systems e.g. SAP.
Indirect production activity (e.g. project teamwork) as the need arises.
Demonstration and promotion of positive actions and behaviours within and out with the workplace.
Support to “on-call” managers that is likely to include:- The completion of plant operating, H & S, environmental and security checks.- The suspension of contractor operations if they are in breach of compliance standards.- Attendance during incidents or emergencies.
Working closely with the Maturation and Maintenance teams to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all aspects of the facility.
Performing minor maintenance (cleaning, inspection and lubrication of equipment). The ability to work in highly effective teams is essential for success in this role. As a self-motivated member of the Bulleit Distillery team, you will provide support, training and coaching to your fellow team members, positively impacting your colleagues, inspiring and engaging others.
Dimensions: Operating the distillery per Standard Operating Procedures. Monitoring and controlling the process. Identifying and correcting deviations from standard process parameters. Reacting to abnormal conditions, breakdowns, and emergencies. Maintaining accurate process and inventory records. Maintaining a high standard of distillate quality.
Top Accountabilities Safe & efficient production of a high quality product: Organise and prioritise production operations and despatches in accordance with agreed plans. Control, monitor and optimise all distillery processes to maximise performance in a manner which fully complies with all legal requirements and Diageo standards and delivers high quality product. Identify and analyse any non-conforming deviations from the expected process parameters. Respond appropriately to a range of breakdown, accident or emergency situations. This will include initial contact with emergency service(s). Clearly communicate with own team and others to ensure the effective continuity of site operations both during and across shifts.
Minimum 18 years of age.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years relevant process operating experiencein any of the following environments distilling/brewing/food manufacture/petrochemical/pharmaceutical and/or the equivalent process technical training with demonstrated achievements.
Demonstrated teamwork capability and can-do attitude.
Excellent communication skills.
Willingness to work towards industry qualifications.
Full driving licence.

Events Manager Old Forester Distillery
Job Description: The Old Forester Distillery is an interactive, consumer experience designed to showcase the craftsmanship and authenticity of Old Forester, America’s first bottled bourbon. We will give our consumers a look into how Old Forester comes to life and each team member will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and authenticity of this experience as they interact with our consumers throughout their visit to our Homeplace.
Responsible for the event planning and execution at the Old Forester Distillery. Oversee third party catering staff for all consumer and trade events, management & scheduling of staff, menu development, quality & service standards, inventory & budget management, décor, rental coordination, event planning and related activities. Work closely with Brown-Forman meeting planning staff, sales and marketing organizations, as well as other Old Forester Distillery staff members.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Culinary and External Private Events
Complete oversight of the third party catering operations including catering contract, culinary strategy, and key contact for all catering issues.
Market and sell the private event space functions from initial inquiry to distribution of private event space information, site visits, contract negotiations, discussion and execution, coordination with the catering staff through to event production and follow up.
Works closely with Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau and other professional meeting planning organizations.
Coordinate all details from contract to event production for all external groups.
Responsible for financial management of private event space.
Execute follow-up and maintain correspondence with each booked group to ensure exceptional customer service and catering service has been provided.
Promote the Old Forester Distillery with strong interpersonal skills, networking and brand building priorities.
Coordinate with Retail Sales Manager and the Guest Services Manager for off-hours tour guides and gift shop workers for events when needed.
Responsible for coordination and design of all aspects of catering information
Plans and coordinates high profile BF groups including, Derby, Leadership, Production and Marketing and any other high profile BF event.
Tracks revenue and expenses, working closely with bookkeepers and accountants.
Ability to interact with visitors as needed to showcase the craftsmanship and authenticity of Old Forester in a positive, engaging style.

Special Distillery Events
In conjunction with Global Brand Team and Third Party Caterer, develop, plan and manage all Old Forester Distillery special events and culinary programs for external guests.
Insure that all aspects of each event are covered properly re: scheduling, catering, misc. material supply and entertainment.
Coordinate all marketing and promotional activity through PR, digital and print for the event to ensure a successful event.
Maintain a cost analysis of each event.
Gather demographic information and track metrics of each event.
Execute follow-up and maintain correspondence with each event participant to ensure exceptional customer service and catering service has been provided.
Ability to interact with visitors as needed to showcase the craftsmanship and authenticity of Old Forester in a positive, engaging style.
Contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
Assists others to develop a PR and digital plan for the Old Forester Distillery Special Events and Culinary activities with the PR team, digital team and Third Party Catering team.

Responsible for any web updates to the distillery and events page for the Old Forester Distillery Website.
Responsible for Old Forester’s information on the KY Distillers Association website and collateral material.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field and minimum 3-5 years in the hospitality, culinary and/or meeting planning fields; or appropriate combination of education and experience.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and external agencies/guests.
