Position Summary
DRS Infrared Sensors and Systems in Dallas, Texas specializes as a worldwide leader in thermal imagery and sensory solutions for commercial and military applications.
We are looking to add a new member to our Focal Plane Array team to help provide the vision and technical expertise necessary to drive our development activities needed to lead the industry in product capability and manufacturability.

Basic Qualifications and Required Skills

Experience with and understanding of the proper implementation and use of statistical process control techniques

Duties and Responsibilities
Sustain current processes in the Wet Line Area of the Wafer Fab.
Identify opportunities to improve current process in Wet Line Area of Wafer Fab, create and justify projects to address these opportunities, and execute these projects on time and within budget.
Develop new processes in the Wet Line Area as needed based on inputs from the Project Managers, Product Engineers, Integration Engineers, and other customers.
Create and maintain documentation relating to all projects responsible for including but not limited to project journals, periodic updates, and final reports.
Create and update specifications to ensure ease of understanding and accuracy in processing to ensure manufacturability of the processes in the Wet Line Area and other areas as needed.

WET Process Equipment Technician
Overview
Wet Process Shift Technicians monitor tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and troubleshoot and repair equipment issues. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Completing all required safety training and conducting all work in accordance with IM Flash safety policies
Assisting equipment owners in non routine activities
Providing content for, and submitting updates for controlled documentation
Engaging in systematic troubleshooting
Minimizing tool down-time and variability to increase tool availability
Documenting maintenance activities in check sheets and tracking programs
Monitoring, analyzing, and addressing SPC issues
Supporting and maintaining TPM and 6S activities
Communicating issues to the supervisor or first shift contacts
Contributing to and communicating detailed passdowns

Partnering with Production team members and area engineers to support equipment
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of test and calibration equipment (i.e. O-scopes, DMMs)

Basic PC skills and familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Basic data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills

A Day in the Life:

Job Title: Wet Painter
FLSA Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
Sprays surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective or decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
10% - Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
10% - Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color.
10% - Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to airhose.
10% - Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
10% - Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
10% - Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush.
7.5% - Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
5% - Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool.
10% - Inspects painted units for runs, sags, and unpainted areas.
7.5% - Cleans paint from ceiling and walls of booth, and from disks, cones, spray heads, and hoses
10% - Hand sprays parts to cover unpainted areas or apply rust preventative.
Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
