Qualifications include but are not limited to: High School Diploma or GED; Minimum of four (4) years of industrial maintenance experience is highly preferred with working knowledge of process, utilities, packaging and other manufacturing equipment; Must have ability to read blueprints and to revise drawings for modifications; Must have ability to take field measurements and provide sketches for fabrication; Ability to perform independently and in teams; Willingness and ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and overtime as required; Proven safety record and working knowledge of industrial safety procedures; Must be capable of wearing all required personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, safety toe shoes, flame resistant clothing, face shield, dust mask, cotton/leather gloves, etc.; Ability to perform heavy physical industrial work to include, but not limited to:
Stand/walk constantly for an 8-12 hour work shift; Constant bending/stooping/squatting; constant use of hands and hand/finger dexterity; Constant arm reaching/extending; Effective oral and written skills are necessary; Ability to be part of a multi-functional/multi-skilled maintenance organization with a willingness to flow to work as required by plant production priorities; Working knowledge of MS Office, Word and Excel; Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) primarily SAP. Must successfully complete pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.

The Millwright will work under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. This position requires the successful candidate to have solid work ethics, be punctual and in regular attendance. The successful candidate will have the ability to multitask and prioritize work tasks.
Assemble, repair, install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools;
Install and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls;
Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery;
Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during repair or set-up of machinery;
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery;
Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures;
Perform pre-operational checks, and operate equipment according to Safe Operating Procedures;
Monitor equipment and processes and ensure equipment deficiencies and operational issues are reported clearly;
Conduct trouble shooting activities when problems arise; and
Complete Report Sheets and Daily Log Books;
Valid Red Seal Interprovincial Journeyman Certificate as a Millwright;
Camp experience is a plus;
Basic welding skills;
Mining industry experience desired;
Valid driver's license; and
Physically fit to perform the duties of the position.

This off-shift millwright position will have responsibilities to include: Pipefitting, welding, small fabrication, belts and sheave alignment.
The wages for Millwright start at $25.80 and top at $27.60 per hour.
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Journeyman (U.A.W. card required), or have a minimum of eight (8) years of documented experience, or have served a bonafide apprenticeship and possess a certificate which substantiates completion.

Minimum Job Requirements
Must have a minimum of three years (level I), four years (level II), five years (level III) and six plus years (level Sr.) experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry and have an in-depth understanding of the millwright trade.
Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to read and understand drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards and effectively utilize all trade tools and equipment relevant to the work.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

Purpose: The Millwright B is responsible for installing/modifing equipment with minimum supervision from the Maintenance Manager.
Performs mechanical repair tasks submitted on work orders by Production or any other department that are approved by the Maintenance Manager with minimum supervision. Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
. Works in a safe manner and follows all company EH&S rules.
. Performs routine work with no supervision such as chrome roll, rubber roll, and extruder screen pack changes, die settings/cleaning and bearing replacement.
. Troubleshoots any malfunction on production equipment and facility equipment with minimum supervision.
. Responsible for checking air compressors for proper operation during his shift.
. Must be familiar with all types of lubrication used in the plant and where the various types are used and lubricates all machine oilers during his shift.
. Responsible for griding all slitter/extruder knives and backup drums that are dull.
. Industrial maintenance schooling or equivalent or a minimum of 5 years of hands on millwright experience in production environment.

Responsibilities Receives instructions from supervision. Maintain production and processing mechanical equipment, including machine tools, cranes, ovens, shot blasts, etc., including mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic PM, repairs modifications, alignments, etc.
Works to close tolerances in the installation, repairs and modification of equipment through the use of precision measuring instruments. Performs mechanical and refractory repairs to boiler-house equipment such as boilers, pumps, compressors, etc.
Works with other service employees on the installation of new machinery and equipment as required.
Works with production operators to maintain equipment, as required. Removes and replaces belts and lubrication fluids as required in conjunction with normal duties of repairing equipment. Performs rough burning, heating and tack welding as required.
Makes periodic inspections of cables, chains, and lifting equipment to OSHA specifications. Performs simple rigging operations and occasional heavy or difficult rigging. Performs various types of masonry work such as laying brick, pouring concrete forms, grouting machinery, setting sewers, concrete finishing, etc.
Performs tasks requiring the ability to climb and work in high places. Works from prints, instruction manuals, etc., makes simple sketches, performs simple layouts and makes calculations necessary to perform work. Reports identifying date and time spend on jobs.
Describes and specifies replacement parts. Maintains good housekeeping by keeping tools, equipment and material in their proper place and in proper condition. Observes all applicable safety rules.
