Millwright/mechanical experience on heavy industrial construction projects is preferred. Pay is $18-$22/hr depending on experience and abilities, no per diem, work schedule 5-10's, and anticipated duration of 3-6 months.
Assist with the planing, lay-out, and performance of all types of mechanical equipment setting and maintenance work in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested
Inspect subordinates work, ensure accuracy and compliance with plans and specifications, explain deficiencies and take any necessary corrective action.
High proficiency in all related trade mathematics.
Eliminate WASTE such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
Produce high quality work, safely and productively at all times.

Minimum Job Requirements
Must have experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry and have an understanding of the millwright trade.

Determines by frequent inspection of equipment and machinery in all areas of the mill, the installation, maintenance, and repair work necessary to anticipate and, where possible, to prevent functional breakdowns or mechanical repairs. Fabricates, bends to shape, cuts, assembles, alters, repairs and installs simple and complex tin and sheet metal articles, parts, and equipment from metals ranging to thickness from tin plate to various thickness of plate. Installs sheet metal items purchased from outside sources such as dust, exhaust system and other types of equipment.
Installs, repairs, and maintains all sizes of pipe and tubing such as low and high pressure steam lines, air, water, stock, oil, gas, acid and other types of pipe and fitting. Determines location of and cuts to measure piping working from blueprints and instructions of foreman.
Installs expansion piping and must know effect of high-pressure steam on piping. Installs and replace various type valves. Install and repair gas, water and sanitary fixtures and equipment with their supports.
Operates an electric arc welding machine and acetylene burning and welding equipment to weld, join, or repair metal parts. Performs all types of top level welding operations.
Performs heating, hammering, and forging operations on parts required for maintenance and construction operations.
Reads and interprets blue prints and fabricates items using all types of metals. Lays out work in absence of prints.
Uses various hand tools, drills, and testing equipment, various type shears, chain block and tackle, pipe threading dies, and other tools and equipment including drill press and metal cutting band saws, read dial indicators and inside and outside micrometer.
Assists other maintenance personnel in various maintenance and construction tasks as required; may independently perform various maintenance and construction tasks, as required.
Assists foreman to maintain safety and good housekeeping practices in shop and work area.
Performs various lubrication tasks and maintains all types of lubricators and lubricating systems.
Prepares written requisitions for material and supplies. Records time worked and charge numbers.

Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment in the truck manufacturing plant.
Performs stick and mig welding and burning operations
Fabricates machine and equipment parts using burning and welding operations, as well as with equipment such as shears, punch presses, press brakes, benders, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, lathe, etc.
Install motors, machinery and equipment according to layouts, blueprints and drawings.
Runs threaded piping systems, 2" and smaller in pipe size
Performs painting operations as directed
Perform mechanical maintenance from shop work orders, preventative work orders (PM's) as well as from written, drawn and verbal instruction
Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies, as well as cuts materials to size and shape.

About the role
We are looking for an All Crafts Second Class (Millwright Level C) to provide general manual labor activities to our Boron Operations site. The Millwright Level C performs welding, pipe-fitting and mechanical work.
This role is based in Boron, California.
This role is a great opportunity to contribute to the organization while developing as an expert in the field. Reporting to the department supervisor, you will be responsible for:
Perform lubrication and maintains lubrication equipment in absence of Oiler
Maintain records, tallies, creates reports, as required to keep accurate records

Identify, install and maintain valves, pumps and drives
Test and analyze equipment

To succeed in this role, you will have:

Fluor is in search of Preventive Maintenance Techs for our site in Magna Utah.
Assemble or erect steel as required for equipment, interpret shop drawings, perform non-critical welding, establish equipment or machinery center lines and elevations, perform complex riggings, precision installation of equipment, machinery or components including anchoring, leveling and aligning. Use of oxygen and acetylene equipment.
Other duties as assigned. Helpers assist journeymen with these duties.
Maintain repair and replace the following;
Pumps, Motors, Bearings, Shafts
Prior experience with conveyors, tumblers, rollers and Heavy Industrial Machinery
The ability to align shafts and couplings
Replace / Rebuild gear boxes
The ability to weld (Certified Welders are a plus)
The ability to diagnose issues before they become catastrophic failures
Must be able to utilize PC's and its applications
Fit testing and respirators are required (No facial Hair Neatly trimmed mustaches are OK)

The Coeur Silvertip mine located in British Columbia, just 10 miles south of the Yukon border is seeking for a Millwright to work in a camp based environment rotating on a two week on/two week off schedule.
The Millwright will work under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. This position requires the successful candidate to have solid work ethics, be punctual and in regular attendance. The successful candidate will have the ability to multitask and prioritize work tasks.
Assemble, repair, install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools;
Install and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls;
Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery;
Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during repair or set-up of machinery;
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery;
Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures;
Perform pre-operational checks, and operate equipment according to Safe Operating Procedures;
Monitor equipment and processes and ensure equipment deficiencies and operational issues are reported clearly;
Conduct trouble shooting activities when problems arise; and
Complete Report Sheets and Daily Log Books;
Valid Red Seal Interprovincial Journeyman Certificate as a Millwright;
Camp experience is a plus;
Basic welding skills;
Mining industry experience desired;
Valid driver's license; and
Physically fit to perform the duties of the position.
