Millwright Construction Supervisor
JBS is seeking a Millwright Construction Supervisor to be a “Key Person” in the organization. You must have complete knowledge and understanding of methods associated with the construction of beef plants.
You must have worked in factories, power plants and other industrial settings to move, assemble, install or dismantle machinery. Must be incredibly skilled at your job, understanding how a number of different machines work after reading complicated technical plans. Safely operates a variety of machines and power tools including: metal lathes, milling machines, pneumatic hammers, drills, grinders, and cutting torches.

Summary/General Description of Job: Under the direction of the Predictive Maintenance Facility Supervisor, the incumbent will perform predictive maintenance and reliability testing of mechanical and electrical equipment to meet customer needs utilizing the following PDM technologies: vibration analysis, infrared, airborne, ultrasound, balancing and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting. Millwright - Journeyman
Tailored to fit our clients' project-specific needs, services are available through direct hire or subcontract options utilizing open or merit shop labor in support of EPC projects, as well as construction-only work for the water, energy and telecommunications markets. Primary Purpose: Plan, lay‐out, install, dismantle, relocate and align equipment and machinery in accordance with all plans, specifications, tolerances and industry standards.
Perform maintenance as required on plant equipment to be installed as required in contract specifications. Principal Duties and
• Use appropriate hand and power tools to properly measure, cut, assemble and align machinery and install all other items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications; review and verify inventory of equipment/machine components; check accuracy of line and grade of existing foundation; prepare foundation for grouting and/or machinery placement; establish and use centerlines and bench marks; establish proper elevation of subsole and sole plates; set and align machine components; mix and place all types of grout. Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts. • Properly torque equipment and machinery using various torqueing equipment; properly rig equipment and machinery and direct crane operators on placement of same.
Test all installed machinery and equipment and make all necessary adjustments and/or repairs, if any. Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools; move machinery and equipment using hoist, dollies, rollers and trucks. Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly unit, using hand tools and power tools.
Shrink-fit bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels to specified items, using portable gas heating equipment. Troubleshoot equipment, electrical components, hydraulics, or other mechanical systems. • Assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors and turbines; align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, micrometers, dial indicators, laser, and/or plumb bobs; assemble machines and attach them to foundations or other structures according to project specifications. • Participate in all safety related processes and programs as requested.
