A production Mixer is responsible for the safe operation, accurate scaling of ingredients and mixing in the proper sequence, and set up for the industrial mixers that produce the dough and toppings for all of our baked goods. Key

What You Will Do:
Reviews daily mix schedules. Ensures that the correct PPE is available and other safety procedures are understood and followed. Asks Supervisor for assistance if needed.
Ensures that the raw materials required for the mixes are available. May obtain the raw materials from the warehouse. May use fork trucks, palletizers, scales, pumps, and other material moving and measuring equipment.
Following the mix instructions, adds raw materials to the mixers manually, using pumps, or using mixing systems. Mixing the batches using variable agitation speeds, agitation times, and heating and cooling per the mix instructions.
Takes samples of the completed mixed batches. Performs basic QC tests or takes samples to lab for tests. Consults with Quality personnel on batch adjustments. Notes batch adjustments on mix paperwork or in computer system
Cleans out mix tanks when empty per procedures. Collects wash-water.
Follows and achieves daily mix plans as assigned by Production Supervisor.
Document all work accurately and timely as instructed, including material usage.
Pumps completed products to assigned storage vessel, as instructed.
Maintains equipment, work area and raw material storage areas in a clean and orderly manner.
Performs other related duties as required by business needs. May be cross-trained on bulk loading and unloading.

Operates batching system including monitor, mouse, and keyboard functions
Trained, or has capability to understand stock inventory movement using Ecolocator

Harry and David is looking to hire a Mixer in our Bakery Department! Day Shift The Mixer plays a key role in maintaining the quality and efficiency of the baked goods manufacturing line by accurately weighing, measuring and blending ingredients to prepare cakes, cookies and various baked goods. The Mixer is responsible for alerting the Team Leader to shortages, discrepancies, quality issues and equipment concerns. This position is also responsible for scaling ingredients to within .01 pounds, minimizing waste, and producing accurate reports on production, cycle counts and lot tracing. Hours/days will change with production needs and overtime may be required. This crew makes baked goods and may assist with packaging.
Strong attention to detail is required for accurate weight measurement and lot tracing.
Basic math with an understanding of weights, measures and conversions are required.
Prior food production experience is a plus.
Proven ability and desire to work in a team environment is essential in order to assure the efficient operation of the line.
Must be flexible with regard to hours and days. Starting and end times will depend on product or line assignments
Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50lbs for duration of 10 hour shift and over 50lbs for 20% of a 10 hour shift. Other physical requirements include bending, lifting, twisting, walking, repetitive wrist movement and standing for full 10hr shifts. Also must be able to withstand strong food odors, exposure to food allergens, varied temperatures, dust and noise.

Concrete Mixer Truck Driver (Cdl Required)
JOB LOCATION: Winterville/Greenvile, NC and surrounding areas
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 1
With minimal direct supervision, will operate a concrete mixer truck GVW on public streets and highways as well as construction sites to transport and deliver concrete material to job sites. Suitable candidates are required to have valid CDL Class A or B North Carolina Driver's license. Must have and maintain an appropriate Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), as outlined in the Corporate Safety and Health Manual.
Concrete Mixer Truck Driver
1.) Climb on, over and around a company vehicle in order to perform Pre-Trip and Post Trip vehicle inspections as well as to secure loads.
2.) Climb up and down concrete mixer trucks using ladder, doing repetitive motion to inspect concrete mix consistencies and perform Quality Control checks.
3.) Lift truck hoods, product or equipment and tools necessary to perform inspection, repair, loading and unloading of trucks.
4.) Support and assist shop personnel with any required repairs.
5.) Wash trucks, clean truck cabs, climb up and down truck washing facilities.
6.) Operate the vehicle in a safe, lawful and courteous manner at all times.
7.) Keep vehicle, cab interior and exterior clean and mixer drums free from concrete buildup, stones, debris and loose objects.
8.) Read road signs and follow written or verbal directions.
9.) Maintain contact with appropriate managers by radio, GPS or telephone to inform them of delays, problems, or unusual situations.

This position is accountable for operating equipment that mixes/grinds liquids and other materials used to manufacture paint and coatings. The Manufacturing Technician directly impacts the quality and quantity of product produced.
Major tasks include, but are not limited to:
Prebatch and ticket inspection
Operates all drop stations and meters (water, TiO2, slurry, etc.)
Measures tanks for yield, follows directions on batch slip, and checks batch until proper grind or mix is obtained
Safe operation of forklifts, walkies, drum handling equipment and battery charging/changing
Cleans vessels, lines, and other equipment used in the process
Advocate and practice the principals of the Safety program
Participate in house keeping activities that are indicative of a safe and clutter free work environment
Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English
