PURPOSE STATEMENT The Mixer Operator is responsible for defining, clarifying and enhancing the procedures for mixing dough in compliance with Quality Standards and Rich's Policies. Also to provide the Customer with the best product, value and service as possible and to promote a safe and clean environment, that promotes Quality, Productivity, and a Healthy RICH’S – Employee relation. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
To produce a wholesome product, that is free from any possible contamination, in compliance with RICH’S Quality Standards and Specifications.
Ensures that all required documentation for production records is completed according to RICH’S policies.
Attend and complete any Company sponsored Training.
Assures that all Good Manufacturing Practices take place, before, and during the process.
Makes SAFETY a first priority, while carrying out his /her daily activities
Reports any unsafe acts or conditions to immediate superior
Inspects equipment prior to start mixing to ensure that is in working condition and free of any foreign material.
Procures Product Specifications and Formulas of products to be run, according to the schedule.
Request ingredients necessary to produce required product quantity.
Inspects raw material to ensure that is fit to be used, according to Quality Standards. And informs Supervision of any found deviation.
Operates assigned equipment according to (S.O.P`s) Standard Operating Procedures.
Fills up all required documentation related to Quality records.
Assures that all Product Specifications are being met, will notify supervision immediately if there is any deviation from Standards
Documents any changes or issues during production
Communicates with Die Cut Operator in regards to dough performance.
Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
Inform upper Management of any problems that cannot be solved in a timely manner. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent (GED) (Preferable)
Food manufacturing experience (1 to 2 yrs.)
Strong math skills
Speak, read, and write English (Spanish is a Plus)
Basic computer skills

Mixer I operates or tends machines and/or manually mixes or re-screens materials such as abrasive grains, ceramic materials, chemicals, resins and/or other compounds to prepare mix for Mixer II and/or Molding functions.
A minimum of high school degree or general education degree (GED).
Some computer skills preferred.
This position requires up to 3 months’ work experience to become proficient in all phases of the job to work independently.
Receives/retrieves and measures various types of material in small to large quantities stored in various containers (i.e., 40-pound containers, 50-pound bags, bulk bags, totes, large drums, hoppers).
Works with array of raw and/or previously mixed materials for a limited role in the entire mixing process such as screening, re-screening product or preparation of the bond material for handoff to Mixer II and Molding function.
Receives well-defined work orders/recipe information via computer or hardcopy. May input work results in computer.
Operates various size re-screeners, automatic screening machines, mixers, large blenders, paint shaker, and other equipment specific to their business to prepare mix and/or to eliminate lumps and balls from previously mixed materials to prepare mix for product making steps. Aged mixes are re-screened before being used for molding to soften the grain mix.
May work with accuracy feed systems, scales and various measuring equipment to obtain, weigh, measure, and/or adjust materials and products to ensure conformance to work order.
Adds or mixes materials for processing using hand tools or other devices. Places materials in the automatic screener, re-screener or mixer manually or via hoist, fork truck, and/or hopper.
Utilizes various screening or re-screening equipment to screen materials per specifications.
May use hand tools to dislodge and clear jammed materials or other items from machinery and equipment.
Cleans machinery, workspace, and tools using vacuum, hose, hands and various hand tools.

Chemical Mixer / Mixer
We have an opportunity for a candidate with prior mixing experience. This position will work with hazardous chemicals (powders). Although this is a 2nd shift 3 pm - 11 pm
*opportunity the selected candidate will train on 1st shift.

Description: The Mixer is responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients for production use by following all formulas as stated on mixing sheet.
Must understand verbal and written communication in English. Must be able to multitask, have great attention to detail and ability to visually inspect product and materials
Concrete Mixer Driver
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Mixer Operator will operate ready mix trucks between plant locations.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance, record and inspection on vehicles to include fueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection, checking and adding fluids as needed
- Use water hoses to clean mixer between loads
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Assist maintenance with repairs as needed
- Visually inspect the consistency of concrete in mixer
- Communicate and direct coworkers verbally either directly, through two-way radio or hand signals
- Provide appropriate documentation on delivery tickets
- Ensure all delivery tickets are signed and returned to Martin Marietta/Ready Mix
- Exercise good judgment regarding work site access, unloading and operation to and from work site
- Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional, courteous manner
- Assist in training of co-workers as needed
- Must possess a Class B CDL license or better
- Must have clean driving history and focus on safety
- One-year experience operating diesel tandem trucks and/or Ready Mix truck driving experience preferred
- Possess a safe driving record
- Maintain an active DOT qualification

Pre-Weigh Technician duties :
Will accurately measure or weigh powdered raw materials and place on a skid.
Must be able to read and understand the plant production schedule and also keep accurate count of inventory.

Mixer Operator duties:
Performs operations and related activities per task instructions to produce adhesives.
Places raw ingredients (liquids and powders) into the mixer and monitors the process conditions, equipment and control systems for each batch.
Uses trouble shooting skills to resolve process related deviations or problems.
Also performs minor repairs, improvements and preventative maintenance of equipment.
Manually changes filtration equipment and prepares packaging and downloads completed material for shipment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Dust mask required while handling powder ingredients.
Forklift operation required.
Prior production / mixer operator experience is a plus.
Chemical safety training will be provided
