We are seeking a 3rd shift Mixer Operator to help manufacture high-quality printing ink at our Edwardsville, KS facility. This position will work 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Monday
- Friday nights plus overtime as needed. Previous experience within the Ink Industry is preferred.
Operates and maintains industrial mixers safely
Adds materials to batches as needed per process order instructions
Records adds and information to process order
Learns and applies TPM knowledge to daily activities
Operates a forklift
High school diploma or general educational degree (GED) desired
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Good math skills and attention to detail skills
Must be able to work overtime as required
Must be able to adhere to our attendance requirements
Forklift experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate

Metal Stamping Press Operator
- Performs typical progressive die and press operations
- Setup and remove tooling
- Observe press in operation and make adjustments to control rate of production
- Monitoring equipment/tooling during production stamping to ensure it is working properly. i.e. watching gages, dials, etc.
- Quality inspections during production runs
- The use of micrometers, calipers, etc. to inspect/measure/visually inspect parts to ensure they conform to specifications
- Includes making minor repairs/maintenance such as oiling and cleaning up around the press when complete
- Communicating clearly and concisely with the supervisor, other production personnel and quality personnel when a problem arises
- Accurately complete a job routing ticket, data chart, time sheet etc.
- Maintain and accurate count of parts
- Assist in setting up steel coil on larger presses
- Possible second shift during peak production periods or as needed
- Extended period of standing while operating press and running production
- Follow all prescribed safety regulations i.e. PPE (safety glasses/hearing protection) etc.
- Safely handle scrap during and after production run
- Keep are clean and organized in a 5S manner
- May assist in training of other employees as required
- When applicable, use computers for data entry in MRP or spreadsheet in a specified and appropriate manner

Under general direction from team manager and in conjunction with team members, contribute to company quality and service commitments by operating equipment, such as, Single Color, Sheet Fed or Continuous/Web presses. Runs mostly standard work and basic manual numbering may be required. Automated or basic setups and changeovers may be required.
Perform a complete set-up of press in an efficient manner, which may include: identifying and loading correct stock, setting correct paper path and stretch, mounting plates, die registration, making appropriate adjustments to the ink and water levels, assuring accurate single-color register and setting up any attribute functions, e.g. perforations, number, file holes, thermo unit, etc.
Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press productively while, meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customer's expectations.
Maintain the ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns; demonstrate the ability to make adjustments to the equipment including blanket changes, wash up units, cleaning water system and roller settings as required.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance and cleaning to ensure a quality product to customer as required. Understand all press controls and demonstrate their use.
Maintain knowledge of the press, current printing processes and develop continuous process improvements that support the Lean philosophy and work environment.
Maintain company quality standards, service levels and customer expectations by meeting or exceeding department/cell goals and customer specifications. Examples may include: maintaining acceptable ink densities, troubleshooting lithographic press settings and willingness to cross train other team members.
Contribute toward team effectiveness and workflow efficiency by rotating duties as needed.
Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Removes throw a ways from Hand Shop kettles and carries to water hopper and after cooling transports to cullet hopper.
Assists in Hand Shop as required. (i.e. Job changes, mold changes, set-up press, etc.)
Monitors cullet conveyor during job change on automatic machine, cullet conveyor.
Removes gobs from water hopper at automatic machine, cullet conveyor.
Performs Mold Boy and Carry-in duties as required.
Removes molds from hand shop machine and transport to storage table as required.
Performs general clean up and painting (i.e. rest rooms and Hot Metal Departments)
Operates forklift as required.
Assist Tank man as required.
Completes required reporting on a daily basis.
Assists others in resolving production difficulties to insure a smooth and efficient operation.
Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.

Hot Header Operator I (3Rd Shift)
Purpose & Scope
This position supports operational excellence in the machining processes to drive productivity, quality and continuous improvement. This role will be expected to collaborate with the RBC team to exceed organizational goals.
Roles and Responsibilities
Forge metal parts to print specifications and established performance standards.
Operates various types of Hot Heading machines as required for the completion of the various operations necessary on the work pieces being formed. Maintains visual check of work in progress to assure proper functioning of equipment.
Performs quality workmanship through the use of precision measuring instruments.
Refers to drawings, engineering prints and written instructions to machine products to customer / engineering specifications.
Follows scheduled workflow according to assigned priorities and communicates deviations to department lead.
Insures that all materials are available prior to initiating production and communicates shortages to department lead.
Conforms to written instructions and procedures to achieve increased performance in production and quality workmanship.
Monitors equipment maintenance and adheres to safety regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned or necessitated by change or condition.
Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
Participates in LEAN, 6S and Root Cause analysis activities as required.
Works as an active team member by participating in problem solving, team building, and all other team activities to improve the processes, productivity, quality,etc. of the production operations in a cell.

Ability to interpret prints and engineering drawings.
Ability to perform machining on a variety of high strength materials (Inconel, A286, Stainless, 300M, 15-5, etc).
Knowledge of tooling to achieve consistent quality results.
Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
Must read, understand, refer to and interpret Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) dimensioning and third view projection blueprints.

Machine Operator - Sheet Metal - 1St Shift
Duties include; set-up and run: turrets, punching machines, presses, press brakes, laser, shears, spot welder, pemnutter or any other equipment within your department. Must be able to work and communicate effectively in a team environment, be a team player and willing to cross train in all areas of the department is required on a regular basis. Must be willing to work overtime (10-12 hrs.) when needed. Regular inspection of production is necessary to insure quality. Must also be willing to cross train within other areas of Mechanical Components
Ability to set up and run: turrets, punching machines, presses, press brakes, lasers, shears, and pemnutter. Individual must be able to read blueprints and use measuring tools. Applicant must be a team player, self-starter, safety conscious, have good communication skills, innovative, mechanically inclined, understand and be responsible for material ordering and scheduling of orders. Individual may have to stand for up to 12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly. The applicant must be able to adapt to a fast-pace work environment with minimal training. Applicant must have a proven track record of customer service skills. Applicant must have at least 2 years of sheet metal experience.

The following describes in general terms the purpose and scope of the position. Sets up and operates heavy duty power press to bend, form, and straighten metal plates, formed sheet metal, structural shapes, and weldments.
Read, interpret, and follow work orders, mylars, check fixtures and other engineering data.
Acquire required tooling by using internal procedures.
Operate hydraulic and mechanical presses.
Properly install dies into press.
Adjust press stroke and tonnage.
Operate automated argon system.
Check own work and take first part to quality inspection.
Collects SPC data according to the control plan attached to the work order.
Makes any adjustments necessary to maintain quality parts within control limits for SPC.
Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
