Executes predetermine methods to package product by the press or store as work in process. Performs visual inspections to detect obvious defects. Keep box counts in order to document the quantity of product being produced.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Package products at the press by following predetermine methods to minimize error.
Consistently meets production requirements.
Empty catch totes into gaylord where packaging at the press is not specified.
Perform basic visual inspection of product and report any quality defects to the shift supervisor.
Keep production area clean in order to promote a safe and neat work environment.
Packaging and labeling
Report any and all safety violations to the shift supervisor to ensure the working environment is free from safety hazards.
Engages in the daily operator maintenance program such as basic oiling of machines.
Collects data for Production Boards.
Performs other duties as assigned
Ability to understand and follow all safety procedures including but not limited to PPE, steel toe safety shoes, maintaining safety guards, etc.
Ability to tend to more than one machine at the same time..
Ability to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, counting and the use of tape measure.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Up to three months of related experience.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to use the required personal protective equipment at all times including steel toe safety shoes.
Requires ability to walk, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist, and climb ladders or equipment.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of one (1) year of industrial manufacturing experience with machine operation, High School diploma or GED, and knowledge of mechanical processes. The Mixing Machine Operator is responsible for operating mixing laminator to machine/sheet raw dough to a specified thickness. Cut/form dough sheet to a specified shape and weight. Keep work area clean and organized.

Set up and starts machine in proper sequence.
Pulls full dough trough to machine.
Fill flour duster, salter, and caustic bath.
Deposit dough in pre-sheeter.
Adjust flow of dough into laminator rolls and onto laminator belt and take-away belt.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis job includes but is not limited to the following: • Keep the holding furnaces on the die cast machines full of proper alloy of metal and at proper temperatures.
This process, called hauling metal, must be done in a safe, efficient, and timely manner as to keep production running at all times while minimizing costly mistakes such as overfilling furnaces, overfilling ladles, spilling metal, letting furnaces run too low on metal, mixing alloys, etc. • Keep transfer (bull) ladles properly cleaned and heated. • Keep scrap hoppers emptied and identified. • Daily chipping, cleaning, fluxing, and skimming of breakdown furnaces.
This also includes Striko Holding Furnaces. • Keep alloys separated. This applies to all metal including that which is stored, in any furnace, or in scrap form. • Cold clean and repair of breakdown furnaces.
This includes jackhammering, cleaning, forming, ramming, casting, painting, etc. • Charge metal to breakdown furnaces in such a way as to keep them full of the proper alloy metal and at the proper temperatures. Metal is charged in form of sows, ingots, castings, and ingredients. • Routine and proper cleaning of all die cast holding furnaces. • On Striko Furnaces clean fill funnels and pouring spouts. Coat as needed. • Keep area around furnace clean. • Perform alloy changes in any furnace properly. • Run spectrometer including cleaning, profile, standardization, and routine analysis. • Properly handle all department paperwork including labor cards, production sheets, check sheets, metal hauling sheets, barcodes, audit logs, furnace cleaning sheets, scrap cards, flux/dross cards, etc. • Properly handle paperwork, sampling, and barcoding of all incoming metal/materials. • Daily inspection paperwork and safe driving of forklifts. • Keep all melt rooms and work areas clean as well as tools/supplies neat and organized and put in proper locations. • Work in a safe manner and report unsafe conditions/hazards immediately. • Wear required personal protective equipment. • Capable and willing to work overtime. • Participate in training programs deemed necessary by the company. • Perform other associated duties, functions, or work as needed or assigned to continue the productive operation of the company. • Must follow all safety rules and policies as set forth by OSHA guidelines and Pace Industries policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual.

Dow AgroSciences, LLC is seeking a Chemical/Mechanical Engineer with expertise in fluid mechanics and mixing to support manufacturing and research & development programs and fill a Fluid Mechanics & Mixing Engineer role. The job will be located in Midland, Michigan. The technical focus will be on multi-phase flow, agitation & mixing, jet mixing and computational fluid dynamics. The scientist will be involved in many different facets of technology delivery including process conceptualization, numerical simulation, experimental validation, plant troubleshooting, optimization, and next generation process development.
Primary Responsibilities and Opportunities:
Fluid mechanics and mixing associated with multi-phase flow, agitation, mixing, jet mixing, computational fluid dynamics as well as experimental capabilities.
Direct and select appropriate laboratory experiments to address critical project requirements
Define, design, and implement novel experimental and computational capabilities
Communicate and document work as technical reports, presentations, and publications
Champion environment, health, and safety initiatives
Define and lead technical direction of project team or sub-project team over time
Expand network to include both manufacturing as well as research & development
Leverage relationships with business partners to identify new research opportunities
Mentor junior level scientists and technologists on project execution and communication
Advance and apply novel modeling techniques across discipline
Influence external technology development through publication, patents, and presentations
Maintain 3rd party relationships to keep current with technical developments
Develop, define, and contribute to intellectual property strategy
Support employee recruiting, interviewing, and hiring
Any other actions required by management
A minimum of a PhD in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience with multi-phase flow, agitation & mixing, jet mixing and computational fluid dynamics
Demonstrated value creation across multiple disciplines and organizations
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
