Operate injection-molding machine(s) to mold products from thermoplastic and thermoset materials. Operate one or multiple injection molding presses. Feed plastic pellets into hoppers. Process completed part and satisfactory pack for shipment. Perform other related duties as required.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Good mechanical abilities related to machinery and molds
Use of precision measuring equipment: micrometers, calipers, comparator, vision system
Ensure consistent quality components are produced that meet customer expectations.
Ensure proper equipment operation and preventative maintenance schedules are performed.
Track and monitor key performance indicators and take corrective action when necessary.
Compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all documented procedures in the Tegra Medical Quality Management System.

Level of Skill, Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent and at least six months of manufacturing experience in a small device manufacturing environment is required. Experience in medical device manufacturing, aerospace, machinery, metals, health, consumer goods a plus. Must be able to recognize machine messages, understand component defect awareness and effectively use various measuring tools as initial quality control. Must also have excellent organizational skills with a commitment to meeting deadlines and expectations while ensuring overall quality of delivery and a demonstrated ability to build effective business relationships across all levels of business. Good manual dexterity, basic Math Skills and Quality Control skills and excellent hygiene are required. May include light to medium lifting.

Job Description: & Requirements
The Blow Mold Operator is responsible for operating plastic blow molding machines and making necessary adjustments to ensure production of containers is made in a safe, efficient and high quality manner.
This position will relieve other Blowmold Operators while they are on vacation.
Monitor conveyor lines for damaged bottles.
Operate bagger and debagger stations.
Troubleshoot and minor repair of blow mold equipment.

Mold Machine Operator A- Deer Creek/020
This is a position at the Deer Creek facility.
To operate molding machines to produce small and/or less complex wax pattern and gating components of the highest quality. To inspect, trim and clean wax parts as required. To train less experienced operators as assigned.
Objective: To accurately prepare tooling dies for operation.
Essential Job Functions:
A. Assembles, disassembles, prepares and positions tooling dies for operation; changes die inserts as required.

Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Mold Line Operator. This is a hourly production position working to perform the tasks associated with the manufacture of Calcium Silicate Insulation. The job requires that the employee be able to work safely and follow safety rules. Employee must be dependable, able to follow instructions and directions, according to established operating procedures, performs the following duties while cooperating with all levels within the organization in support of the four Johns Manville core values: People, Passion, Performance and Protection:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform up to 67% of the wipe off and/or take off work on a sustained (full shift) basis when running the full mold line (12 ejection molded stations) on a 15-minute cycle.
Wipe off- wiping slurry into the mod cavities; stirring the molds with a stick; wipe mold cavities to level.
Takeoff- life green pipe sections off mold table and place onto the mold cars; lift sections of pipe by hand; lift sections with assistance of air hoist.
Shuttle Car #1- retrieve empty mold cart from return tracks; position empty cart on one shuttle car rail; push (in teams of two) a loaded mold cart onto shuttle car; move shuttle car and position empty car on the mold line. Count sections by size and document the product counts; identify mold station of origin, time and steam tunnel on the product and assigns cart number.
Shuttle Car #2- Verifies and documents counts, timing and density; moves mold car to unload when weights are anticipated; communicates with supervisor or lead when weights are not anticipated; unload mold cars into WIP stacks by product sku.
Steam Nozzle Cleaner -- removes, replaces and scrapes clean steam nozzles.
Pan Operator -- performs wipe off and takeoff duties; convey pan molded sections from the mold line to the mold car via hoist assist.
Always use safe work practices, follows all safety rules and procedures, immediately reports any hazardous conditions, and fully participate in safety programs.
Perform safety observations and complete training assignments.
Wears all personal protective equipment as required by management, including but not limited to all or some of the following; protective shoes, glasses, ear plugs, bump cap or hard hat, gloves, dust mask or respirator.
Responsible for operating in conformance with the ISO certification held by the Fruita facility.

Injection Mold Operator
Supply all Injection Molding machines with the required raw materials to meet production demands and to ensure the shift runs continuously and efficiently. Start up and shutdown of all injection molding and auxiliary equipment. Ensure all raw materials are properly contained, labeled and stored. Assist with monthly inventory.
· Monitor multi-cavity injection molding machines that produce different types of molded parts on fully automatic cycle operation
· Clean and lube molds at start of each shift
· Clean JIT loaders and filter weekly
· Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and detect problems
· Maintain set points to produce quality parts at the optimum cycle
· Ability to read procedures and set-up parameters for mold and input them into injection molding press to correctly perform startup
· Troubleshooting of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to fix defected product(sink, splay, air bubble, product sticking on mold, voids, gas burns)
· Perform in process adjustments to auxiliary equipment as required
· Replace broken water line and o-rings. Empty purge containers. Clean up water purge from mold and oil leaks.
· Startup and Shutdown of Injection Molding machines and auxiliary equipment as required
· Communicate with Lead regarding required task. Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal directions.
· Perform visual inspection of molded product including the gauges and measuring equipment
· Mixing color by using color blender or hand. Ensure homogeneity of mixture during hand blending.
· Regularly monitor and interpret the daily production schedule to anticipate all mold, material and color changes.
· Monitor resin and regrind consumption and replenish as required. Ensure that all grinder bins are empty in a timely manner to avoid contamination and damage to grinder. Regrind must be used promptly to ensure required quality.
· Ensure that Injection Mold machines are clean, as well as continuously monitor housekeeping in and around production area and material storage area
· Ensure that established Company quality and safety standards are being followed
· Immediately report any safety, operational or quality concerns to Lead or Manager
· Communicate with previous or oncoming shift lead or supervisor daily to discuss any open issues(safety, quality, maintenance, production) to coordinate a smooth shift transition
· Ensure the accuracy of all shift and inventory count
· Ability to work in all assigned areas of production and perform relief duties when required
· Maintain all cGMP guidelines at all times (i.e., no food or drink, correct labeling of product, boxes are closed properly, no product on floor, etc.)

We are seeking a 2nd shift Mold Press Operator for a client that specializes in design and development of OEM orthopedic and spinal instruments.
- Support manufacturing and production with molding of all silicone handles/inserts.
- Preparation of all molds and components prior to molding.
- Assist in inspection and verification/validation for molds and mold pins.
- Maintenance of all molds, rails, pins and molding press, including all tooling required. Also maintains maintenance logs as required.
- Inspection of all components molded with all documentation filled out properly and use of correct silicone.
