Installs dies on press, using clamps, bolts, and hand tools, and coats dies with parting agents, according to work order
Set-up press to run production
Alters thermostat to regulate temperature of dies
Lifting heavy objects
Performs all functions of mold changeovers, including installation of secondary and automated equipment
Maintain cleanliness, organization, identification and storage of equipment related to mold setting functions including company supplied tooling, secondary equipment, including chutes, conveyors and mold temperature controllers in their proper locations.
Assist in general maintenance as necessary.

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1-year experience
Mold hook-up experience
Knowledge on how to properly use hydraulic lift equipment and understand lift capacities

Changes molds as required by production schedule and follows complete instructions when changing tools.
Confirms process or mold is functioning correctly, ensures that any abnormalities are reported, and confirms quality of parts being produced.
Assists in color changes.
Troubleshoots part abnormalities.
Completes small repairs of tools and end of arm tooling.
Ensures set up of machine and support equipment (i.e. chillers, hot runners, loading system, etc.).
First/Middle/Last Quality Inspection
Required to operate equipment, fill-in, and conduct same tasks to support the production team members in accomplishing production objectives.
Develop/support standardized work processes ensure best practices in employee training, scheduling, and customer output requirements. Performs other duties as directed by Supervisor.
Participate in training courses needed for better efficiency in production, timing & cost control.
Detail oriented with good analytical skills. Able to operate and problem solve to achieve goals.
Lead in application 5S philosophy for TGTX. Define and actively contribute to the accomplishment of the system.
Identify task and prepare appropriate response or actions to successful completion. Problem-solving and resolution to meet the business efficiency plan.
Work experience requirements:
Knowledge of production rate scheduling and planning.
Experience with quality control procedures to meet production characteristics.
Knowledge of Kanban systems and applications to support operations

Install and remove rubber injection molds into a variety of presses, preparing them for production. Assist mold cleaning, maintenance and engineering. Troubleshoot molding operation problems.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Remove and install rubber injection molds into a variety of presses and into preheat ovens and storage racks using various tools and power mold trucks.
Obtain production 1st Article Sample Approval (checking parts against acceptance criteria, completing paperwork, and submitting parts for approval.
Promptly report quality problems and shut down the equipment if unable to resolve.
Follow the Quality Management System requirements as outlined in the process notes on the press card, the applicable QMS procedures and work instructions; and suggest ways for continual improvement.
Move molds and mold components for viewing, cleaning, shipping/receiving, and repair, using lift trucks and hoists.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Follow EHS rules and regulations, promptly report quality problems, participate in safety meetings and CBT, identify and report unsafe conditions/personal injuries, and practice and suggest ways for continual improvement.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Maintains an excellent safety record
Achieved Rubber Molder 3 position within Molding Group (able to operate and troubleshoot Rep, Engel, and Desma molding presses).
Minimum 3 years experience in assisting Set-Up and Process Specialists.
Understands acceptance criteria and criteria sheets and demonstrated ability to use a size mylar to determine if parts are acceptable for first article.
Analytical ability necessary to plan and prioritize own work, complete work on schedule and maintain required records and logs.
Interpersonal skills necessary to exchange information with a variety of staff.
Ability to read and understand press cards, procedures, work instructions, safety rules and warning signs.
Ability to obtain a powered lift truck license for powered walker trucks.
Tooling experience preferred.
Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.

The Mold Setter will be responsible for changing molds (both installation and removal), changing materials, and ensuring machines are clean.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This list is not comprehensive but meant to represent the most common or important duties of the position. Other duties are required and/or assigned:
Able to perform mold changes on machines, both installation and removal
Perform proper disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of injection molds
Report any mold wear or damage to Supervisor and Head of tooling department
Perform set-up of injection molds
Troubleshoot machine and mold complications
Strong attention to detail and safety-oriented
Safely operate overhead crane and gantry systems
Ensure that all work is completed without creating any damage to machines, molds, or auxiliary equipment
Responsible for material handling and accurately reading bills of material to ensure accuracy in all setups and material feeding system setups
Perform material changeovers, both plastic pellets and liquid silicone buckets/drums
Cleaning machine hoppers, lines and molds
Responsible for the proper teardown, cleaning and re-assembly of liquid silicone processing equipment
Complete all work and task related documentation
Maintain cleanliness of machines and working areas.
Assist with cleaning the molding room
Report and consult with Process Engineer and Supervisor/Lead on all technical issues or identified non-conformances.
Notify persons in charge of any non-standard or sub-optimal injection molding processes or mold issues as well as quality and safety issues.
Ensure safety adherence.
Ensure that established policies, procedures, rules and regulations are understood and followed.
Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and documentation
Assist with general building maintenance as needed

Previous experience in an injection molding environment with knowledge of injection molding machines

Clean and inspect molds used in the production of rubber molded parts. Perform light maintenance duties on molds.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions as defined by the ADA, except those that begin with the word 'may".)
Clean molds using mold cleaning machine.
Inspect mold cavities for damage; inspect and, if necessary, replace o-rings, spring hanging bolts and sleeves; drill out vacuum lines; perform general maintenance on molds.
Inspect mold plates for flaking of coating

Maintain mold inventory book and all associated paperwork.
Tag and put molds and dies in proper location. Make labels for molds.
