The essential functions of the position include:
The safety and health of employees take precedence over all duties of this job
Directs and executes mold changes per the production schedule and all emergency mold changes
Responsible for the proper set-up of all molds and related functions such knockout, hot runner set-up, hydraulics, pneumatics etc. for foam molding machines
Set parameters of the molding press to the process verification sheet if applicable.
Repair any fluid or air leaks relating to the mold.
Responsible for the pulling and resetting of all mold halves, specifically for the purpose of mold repair.
Responsible for assisting with the loading and unloading of all mold carrying trucks.
Responsible for the installation and removal of all auxiliary equipment from the molding floor.
Responsible for the orderly appearance of all mold-setting supplies including the removal of all supplies from the molding machine and immediate area.
Adherence to all quick mold change policies.
Ensure all documentation is completed, submitted and filed in a timely manner
Assist with start-up of presses as required.
Perform maintenance and minor repairs on/to molds.
Maintains cleanliness of areas.
Performs all duties in a manner that demonstrates the highest level of quality and safety.
Participate in all safety initiatives.
Follow good manufacturing practices.
Other duties as required.

Job Description & Responsibility: Verifies quality and quantity of work is correct. Fill in where needed and help with training and housekeeping.
Brake Press- Locate material, form aluminum parts, stack on skid, and distribute. Shear- De-coil aluminum, cut to block size, and write route cards. Chop Saw- Read the router card, cut certain lengths, and stack for distribution.
Router- Locate pattern, count out the correct number of sheets, router the parts, and distribute the cut parts. Haul Press- Grab newly cut haul, place in the haul press, put desired brakes in the aluminum, and place the finished product on the table. Plasma Cutter- Key in which parts are to be ran and then watch to make sure nothing is wrong with the process.
Forklift Operator- Sets up pallet tables and coils for normal production. Then takes finished parts to their designated areas. Experience with hand tools including ohmmeter, torque wrenches, and power tools.
Ability to interpret written instructions.
Must be able to pass written and oral evaluations.
Must be willing and available to work overtime as needed to meet customer demands.
Pass forlift operating test and obtain license. Demonstrate safe driving; Be familiar with different types of machines and have a good understanding on how each one functions ( Tonnage, min, max open and close stroke, distance between tie bars, etc.); Know what molds will fit in which machines; Clean the pess and the area for a complete change over; clean machine (remove all loose parts from inside and outside of the machine); remove packaging, quality books and return them to their proper location, any gages; Know how to verify the ejector safety is working properly and low pressure is set correctly; Know how to check for water flow and verify all valves are turned on; Know how to load all parameters from the process data sheet in to the machine; Provide first and last shot to Quality; Know how to purge any remiaining material from the machine; Know how to clean molds; Know how to air purge water out of the mold; Know ejector pattern of the molds; Know the ejector safety wire and where it goes; Know how to operatre the mold set function.

As a set-up technician you will set-up and process injection molds. Our facility has a wide range of machine types and sizes, as well as varying auxiliary equipment including robotics, conveyors, thermolators, etc. This position requires you to work with these different types of machinery during the setup of the mold, while processing startup parts and throughout the entire production run as you are troubleshooting.
