Our strategic partner in Plymouth, Michigan has an immediate opening to hire a skilled Design Engineer with previous experience with Mold Design. The ideal candidate with be proficient with Catia v5 and experience designing injection molding molds.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing team in automotive part manufacturing for a Tier1 manufacturer.
Other experience with ProE/Creo or SolidWorks will also be considered.
- Design, verify ,and follow up with tooling for each product
- Design and develop new injection molds and tooling
- Verify, check and buy off molds and tooling
- Improve overall processes and related issues by taking a pro-active lead in Continuous Improvement Activities.
- Program tracking and follow up of new program tooling scheduled.
- Project leader for molds and tools related engineering changes.
- Injection mold and tooling support during on-line troubleshooting and implementation of corrective actions
- Communicate with contractors and shops for outside repairs.
- Develop spare parts for injection molds and tool
- Develop injection mold and tool maintenance plan
- Repair injection mold like welding/spotting
- Degree in mechanical engineering or similar. Associate's degree with additional experience may also be considered
- Min 3 years’ experience in injection mold knowledge - mold design/ mold welding/spotting/manifold cleaning

The Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer role will provide process improvements, set work standards, evaluate operational costs, validate capital expenditures, document operational procedures, determine most economical process flows and perform project management functions. This role applies basic engineering principles to perform routine evaluation and design in support of production operations, identifying equipment, process, and labor productivity improvements

Williamson Employment is looking for a 2nd shift Injection Mold Operator for the Buchanan MI area.
2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Hours may vary, over-time as needed
Duties and Responsibilities
Injection Mold Operator - Job responsibilities may include
loading inserts into the molds for plastic to mold around the inserts
removing the molded parts from the mold
clip the runners off and or trim flash if any
Layering pack parts into the boxes or placing in the box as a bulk pack.
Some jobs require using air powered tools to remove threaded inserts.
Candidates will be trained to do your own inspections and also some color matching.
Education - high school diploma or GED is preferred
Abilities - lift up to 70 lbs. repetitively and working in a fast paced industrial environment
