Supports molding production schedule, manages inventory levels, and maintains proper storage of material and supplies within area of responsibility.
Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement of departmental documentation systems.
Conduct all activities in a fair, ethical manner, which complies with all corporate policies.
Essential Functions Quality:
Perform basic courtesy First Part inspection, addendum inspections, and melt flow index inspections of plastic resins as required with limited supervision. Operate the Measuring Machine (CMM), Optical Comparator and various inspection equipment including calipers and micrometers, if applicable.
Advise appropriate personnel of required updates on part inspection procedures, blueprints, SPC records and inspection records.
Responsible for following quality system procedures. Assists in procedure development when required. Ensures product quality and takes appropriate action when non-conformances are identified. Maintain accurate records as required.
Essential Functions Material Handling:
Ensure that machine hoppers are filled with the proper raw materials. Ensure that drying of raw material and any other material preparation steps are followed correctly. Ability to operate the Motan© material transfer system.
Maintain accurate records of all material identification and update information in a timely manner.
Responsible for the timely input of accurate material identification, part count, scrap count, and job information for printing correct raw material certifications.
Responsible for emptying grinder drawers and checking the quality of regrind generated to minimize contamination.

Training & Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A technical degree is preferred (two or four year); however, equivalent injection molding, plastics operations, and quality experience may be substituted.
One to five years of practicing Scientific Molding (or Decoupled© Molding) techniques.
Previous experience in plastics material handling.
Experience in molding machine and robotics operations in injection molding environment(s).
Accustomed to working conditions in an injection-molding environment including noise, dust, odors from plastic material and associated chemicals and exposure to various temperatures.
Overtime may be required.
Hearing protection and eye protection are required in specified areas.
Safety shoes are required in specified areas.

Rubber Molder 1 -- 2Nd Shift
SUMMARY: Operates a range of manufacturing equipment for the production of rubber molded sealing products within assigned team.
Inspects parts for conformance with quality criteria. This position is the entry level for the Rubber Molder job family.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate multiple combinations of equipment and tools in assigned team.
Complete daily production paperwork including move tickets, quality log sheets and safety checks.Perform 100% trim and inspection and identify and segregate scrap.
Identify and explain process, material and equipment problems and notify supervisor or other appropriate individual.
Count (including weigh counting), package and box parts according to work instructions and/or customer requirements.
Maintain a neat and orderly workstation consistent with our industrial housekeeping (5S) standards.
Move parts or other products or materials by hand or using a hand truck.
Perform SPC charting as necessary.
Follow the Quality Management System requirements as outlined in the process notes on the press card, the applicable QMS procedures and work instructions; and suggest ways for continual improvement.
Promptly report quality problems and shut down equipment if unable to resolve.

Assists with planning and executing the preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance of production equipment and machinery.
